Calling it now, they will release 30fps version of GTA 6 for PS5 (both base and pro, difference will be in res most likely) and Series X, then we will get a 60fps version for the next gen consoles and the PC version will release alongside those 18 months after the release of the original. People are on some COPIUM if they think PS5 pro will be a GTA 6 machine, PS6 will be the actual GTA 6 machine.

PCs cost more, but if you had bought a PC back in 2020 with a 3080, you would not have had to buy two PlayStations, Pro and original. Didn't you hear what they said? Gta open worlds are very complex in nature with a lot of NPCs on their own little routines with a lot of interactions with the player. That isn't graphical fidelity, that's just math and you need a better processor to crunch those numbers fast enough to get 60fps. Unless you want people making those 10 years ago vs now vidoes where the NPC interaction has been degraded to save on CPU costs.

Technically speaking, yes, the PS5 Pro can run GTA6 at 60fps. It really will come down to the cuts they will have to make to make this happen and if those cuts take away from the intention of the developers. If they don't agree with the cuts then 30-40fps will be the cap, or 30fps with an unlocked framerate mode.

Honestly wouldn't suprise me thst even if they could achieve 60 they keep it to 30. Hear me out, they keep it at 30 for this generation, 12 months later they release it on pc. Everyone that has pc thats either borrowd their brothers or bought an ps or xb just for this then buys it again for. If consoles go full digital next gen and continue to raise prices, a Steam Box type device made for tv could hit a niche in the market. Could price it a bit higher than the Xbox/PS next gen consoles but have the convenience of tv gaming with an updated revised UI, auto driver updates and possible dual boot OS with windows for flexibility. If it's 700-900 and the next gen consoles are 600-700, there's a lot of room to compete. Most console gamers don't want to mess around with PC's and all the mess and complications Edit: so make it as simple as possible.

Just because you have an Xbox Series X or are planning to buy a PS5 Pro doesn't guarantee that new titles will run at 60 fps. If your GPU is significantly more powerful than your CPU, or vice versa, your system could experience a bottleneck, limiting its performance. This seems to be one of the issues with the PS5 Pro.

30 fps standard? Mate, 30fps is a broken game in my eyes. 60fps at 1440p is the BARE MINIMUM that is acceptable in 2024. I've had 60+fps gaming PC's literally 10 years ago. Don't come up with unrealistic arguments like "30fps is a standard" when it's just not.

The devs have no choice. Games that are simulation heavy will not run at 60fps with the current console CPUs.

This is a godsend of an opportunity for Microsoft to match or easily exceed the performance at a matching or lower cost. It would be such an easy sell for someone like me who is buying a console just for gta6.
