Thanks, bud, from those of us that are apparently reading-ignorant. I came to you video because I completely spaced the instruction of installing the magnet nub on the back of the grill spring. Installed the sensor no problems. For weeks now I could ponder why the gas meter wasn't working. A minute and a half into you video I ran from my desk to search for the nub, which was still in the box. Derp. All better now, and my Weber is now officially awesome. Love this grill. Nice video! 👍 I put my new Genesis II E-310 together on Saturday, and installed the iGrill 3 on Sunday. I chose this package along with the grill cover as my 30th anniversary award (this month). I also just retired. 😃 As a long time Weber charcoal griller, I've never owned a gas grill. But; I must say, I believe the Genesis II is a game changer! So far, I've grilled a pork loin (Sunday), and yesterday , a big sirloin for fajitas. I also purchased the griddle for the E-310. I used it yesterday for onions an peppers for the fajitas! Wonderful!! I think the iGrill 3 is great for the Genesis II. But; for my Smokey Mountain 22, I'll keep using my Thermoworks Smoke, and Thermapen. Best thermometers on the market. I use my Thermapen to check final meat temperature on all my cooks. For monitoring during the cook, I think the iGrill 3 does a good job! 👍 I need to do an A-B comparison between it and the Therrmoworks Smoke - using the grate probe and a food probe. I'll report back on that. One question I do have regarding the iGrill 3; I noticed it (not the iGrill 3 app), beeping in 3 beep intervals when I began my cook on Sunday with the pork loin. Have you noticed this with your iGrill 3, as well? Also; I did purchase the optional grate probe. Thanks!

Great product. Installed mine a few days ago. Good video, especially the small round magnet insertion. My meats and chicken come out perfect without 'peeking'. Definitely worth it. Picked up Ambient temp probe today. Attached it to warming shelf. Mr D. did 11 hour pork roast with the iGrill 3. And had a couple of rain storms during. iGrill holds up well. Weber seems to know how to properly make this work.

I love this product but I don't like how there isn't a spot on the grill to hold the thermometers at unless there is a spot and I am unaware. I have the genisis II 4 burner

Correct, they don't have a place to hold the probes used with the iGrill 3. When the probes are not in meat, you just have to keep them in the house or elsewhere.

I like the Igrill 3 video; also I like the Igrill 3 mainly because of the fuel gauge; yes the fuel gauge. However I don't like that this connects as an after thought, Weber should just include this on the grill. Or at least don't put the igrill ready on the unit I don't want to pay for this badge. Now what if I don't have this grill in the future? Is the igrill thermometer future proof will it work on other Weber grills in the future ? Will it work with non weber grills, I don't think so because of the scale?

D, i just got this grill yesterday and i almost made the same mistake u have. For the propane tank you have to turn the knob and lift up, its a holder plate and the actual hanger can be seen once plate is lifted. Then plate comes down little bit of security i guess for tank.

Hi DGrill, would you still recommend the igrill3 now a year+ later? Im trying to decide between igrill 2 and 3. It appears the 2 comes with a LCD screen which I like. Do you find you can use this thermometer on other smokers/grills easily if needed? I have weber smokey mountain id like to share this device with but cant tell how easy it would be to relocate on other grills if needed. Thanks for your time!

I recommend iGrill 3 for Gensis II Grills. It will not work with others. The built in ease makes it worth it. Get an iGrill 2 for your Smokey Mountain.

Hea D Grill. I just upgraded to a Genesis II,and was wondering if you found this device to be useful and worth the money? $99 seems a bit expensive but if it works good then I guess it's worth it. Thoughts?

+Nooby Vapor It's totally worth the cost. No more running in and out of the house to check the temperature of the grill on the dial, or the meat. When I smoked a brisket fr 11 hours, see my brisket video. It was a major help. I include clips from iGrill in many of my more recent cooking videos. The ambient probe can't read far over 500 degrees F, see my iGrill ambient probe video. But is still nice to have. Especially when low on Propane, it let's you know when you're really out, no more heat 😂 To me, it's not a question of whether to get iGrill. Just a question of whether to get iGrill 2 or iGrill 3. I went with 3, only because I felt it may be supported longer by Weber's iGrill software and likely be catered to more. But functionally speaking, iGrill 2 at least has its own display. And iGrill 2 can be used with any grill.
