From your experience, for 1 bedroom house. bedroom is medium size with medium living room and small kitchen area, do you suggest me to get two IKEA - UPPATVIND (one in bedroom and one in living room) or buy (one FÖRNUFTIG Air purifier and one IKEA - UPPATVIND instead ? I really appreciate your video and effort, very helpful.

Fer reseting the filter replacement timer.

@@UltimateDIY ohhhh. So should I press it before first use?
@UltimateDIY5 ай бұрын
No. Only press it when the timer led turns red, to remind you to replace the filter.

does it matter that it is not HEPA?

For me, no.

It probably shouldn't be HEPA. HEPA filters are good for low-throughput pass-through filtering, if you have say an enclosed 3D printer or a soldering workspace which generates pollutants and you want a flow through filter which would capture all of that that you can connect to it, and all of the air from the polluting device would pass through the filter. A lot of air pressure is required, and it's difficult to make them perform at moderate noise. The filter in your vacuum cleaner should also ideally be HEPA, since it has immense pressure anyway and you don't want it spreading more junk around than it absolutely has to, but then, a vacuum cleaner already sounds like a vacuum cleaner! EPA filters allow much more air throughput and are much quicker at clearing a space of pollutants which don't have one distinctive source of pollution. Of course not all EPA filters are suitable but IKEA uses a relatively high pressure radial fan and a relatively high class EPA filter (E12, 99.5%) which is just short of HEPA requirements. By all reason, if they tried HEPA, it wouldn't really make any air and the performance would be plain bad, and there's really no good way to fix it in such a device. With axial fans, lower class filters have proven to do even better at room purification, like M6 or F7, which capture only about 80% particulate, but because the air can run through more often, the room is cleaned better. The static pressure of the fan is very low and it's too easy for the fan performance to fall off a cliff.
