If I looked like that after getting out of the shower I would never bother with foundation!! My skin is very pale, translucent, can see every vein and artery, and loads of wrinkles lines and tissue paper Criss cross texture ( thanks to my wonderful body producing faulty collagen!) xx

Daniela S I have a darn deep 1 (instead of an 11) wrinkle between my brows, and I’ve discovered that if I use a lightweight “dry” oil as a primer (I use an inexpensive grapeseed oil that I bought on Amazon), nothing settles into that wrinkle. When I accidentally stumbled onto that a few weeks ago, I’ve been telling all of my friends who are over 45! Try it! @@DanielaBoard72 I use the original Smashbox primer with it and it works like a dream. No settling into fine lines for me! I also like to use the Charlotte Tilbury pressed airbrush powder brushed very lightly over it. I get a flawless finish with this combination. LOVE!

Shoshannah, have you tried proactiv advanced dark spot correcting serum? I had some success with that. I also used another cream...I can't think of the name of that one but I think it's around here somewhere and will look around. I'll report back if I find it. I just hate the thought of your daughter suffering with those dark spots. It really takes a toll on self esteem. 💕

53 years old and this is the best foundation that has worked for me. For the first time ever I like everything about my foundation. The concealer is even better. I use their primer and their brush like they recommend.

I bought this, too, all because of Instagram! 😁 The color quiz put me in shade 020, and I was super shocked that it was actually the perfect color for me (a fair neutral). I have super dry and dehydrated skin, so I use grapeseed oil as a primer, and it’s SOOOO pretty! Such a nice skin finish! I was able to use a brush, which I hardly ever can. Wow! As my setting spray, I used the glowy Catrice spray. I live in the South, and I didn’t even need a powder over top. I love, love, love it! (An inexpensive near-dupe for it is e.l.f. Flawless Finish, just in case you don’t want to spend $44.)

I bought this one as well in shade 75. I’m nearly 60 and it is fabulous! I have very red skin and rosacea, and had stopped wearing foundation because I couldn’t find one that worked with my very dry skin. I don’t want flawless coverage, simply to tone down the redness. It’s beautiful and like you said, almost like not wearing anything it feels so good on the skin! Even in these days of mask wearing it seems to stay on well enough. After that, I bought the concealer, primer and a green blending stick to combat the redness on the worst of my rosacea. Although the primer is lovely, it actually did not look better at all. I’ll try it again after watching some application videos, but I could see my pores (which are large) filled in with foundation, which always seems to be the case when I use primrt. So, those may go back, but the foundation... superb!

I agree. Shes gorgeous...I thought she had full coverage at the beginning. The makeup IS done well but she looks stupid as hell, considering how it made her LESS attractive...I seriously don't understand why she wears makeup. It's not like she's pretty and it makes her prettier...she's GORGEOUS and it makes her look average🙄

I just got mine today and I couldnt believe how perfect it matched me. Im a shade 10. Im almost 41 and struggle with foundation because of several reasons. I used minimal product and it covered a blemish easy. Buttery soft and I agree, it doesnt feel like a matte. More of a natural finish on the matte side. Now to wear it all day and see how it holds up *fingers crossed it doesnt bother my sensitive skin*

I just started trying this foundation, and the quiz totally worked for me to find a match. I have never been able to pick a correct match for myself! Also, I didn't bother to wipe it off when I went to the gym, and it LASTED through a 45min crossfit workout. I'm sure some rubbed off, but i get very very rosy cheeks and it kept pretty covered and even toned!!

thankful for this video as it is the most recent review of the brand. i got the same shade not long ago for the 14 day trial. unfortunately i wasn't in town to receive to get to try it right away. today is my first time trying it and instantly i felt the lightness of it &the color. i could see how natural it looks. i've had it one since 11am to test the feel, it feels great. i'm not even doing it for the trial anymore. i know it's too soon as it is the first day/try but in comparison to other foundations i've had &tried, this has given quicker result despite 1 friends review. it'll be worth the money for me. thank you for this video. you before &after application didn't look much different😊 thank you again!

I have heard of Il Makiage, but have never tried it. It looks absolutely fabulous on your skin. So natural, but with coverage. Beautiful formula. I may have to try this. I have dry, aging skin, and am currently loving the ABH Luminous foundation. Great for dry skin. Thanks for sharing this video Elle❣😘

I’m 41 but don’t look my age. I’m often thought to be in my late 20s (which is the greatest thing to hear when your down). But this makeup was so dry on me my mom said it aged me about 5 years. All my fine lines that were not visible before could be seen. It was strange. I hated it. Returned it. But I do love their eyeliner it’s amazing and I hear the lip liners are fabulous as well.

Their foundation test was great..And they have a "Try for Free" option...I pay $5 for shipping...2 weeks to try and if I don't like I send it back...And they donate those bottles....WOW I will give it a try and see if it comes anywhere near my GA Luminous Silk 5.75...it is mush less expensive...

Hi Elle This brand is very popular for the past 15 years, here in Israel and in Europe too. The brand is known well through celebreties promitng it, it has an urban young vibe. As it is not the cheapes, people will bye products at airport Dutyfrees. I just might give this one a try, even the longevity is not eniugh for a working day.

Hi Elle and Elle Squad! Happy Foundation Friday!!!! I heard about Il Makiage from another influencer on YT and I bought it. I goofed on the colour. Even with the online shade testing I find I still don't get it right. Have no idea if my undertone is pinky, golden or yellow so I always get neutral in any line. I ended getting 2 in shades that were too dark but I kept the lighter of the 2 darker shades and reordered the correct shade (#40). I spend half the year in FL so the darker shade will be used then. I like the coverage. However, I still love KGD and CT wonder foundation overall and I love wearing stick foundations for the convenience. (Milk & Bare Minerals) Thanks for showing! You always look sooooo good!! Hope the cold is gone now;-))
