I don't mind the crackling voice and all the bumps it makes it more genuine and artful I don't ever want to hear a perfect sound or performance from anyone !
@1388Anthony110 жыл бұрын
Yes!!! Somebody that gets it. Thers hope for the human race. Thats what makes rock n roll great its not perfect. Go listen to some boring ass Dream Theatre if you want perfect timing and harmony. Doherty is an unconventional guitar player i love it and i'm a musician. I love when he breaks musical "rules".

yeah well that's what you look for in indie acoustic songs. It's not meant to be studio perfect. The kooks have some good songs like that. Check out the Rak track not sure how it got released but it's just full of songs that weren't made for albums.

I'm feeling it mate. I am a music lover and have struggled to find a band or musician that appeals to, there arent many pete is right at the top. All his music is pure natural quality and poetry, I dont know any other band or musician like him true quality really. Hes like marmite you love him or hate him. I was lucky enough to meet him and alan at a little gig at his aunties pub in London nearly 10 years ago I took my down in Albion Album with me and his signed it, after a while of him tryin to find a pen lol Cant see why ppl dislike peter so much obviously hes had problems or taken drugs and that but who hasn't, anyone who cant recognize such talent should put a razor lite album on. Would like to also say RIP Alan, he seemed like a true gent when I met him a very sad loss but it's very nice that peter has sung Alan's songs in his memory at various venues.

Alan Wass' verse from 2.40 - anybody knows what his singing? Not part of the official lyrics, but something that sounds like: "... As soon as I get back from New Orleans I still get a'Houston in my sights I've been a' high riding beneath the sun, keeping up the fight..."? That doesn't make complete sense, and I have no idea what comes after that?

How do I start? I appreciate Pete, as a fantastic musician, composer and songwriter very much. That he is absolutely my taste in men, that I mentioning only incidentally.:-) A lot of great artists, have an addiction problem, whether they are painters, writers or musicians. Many are sensitive and introverted and often create their best songs, if they are in a mental deep (Amy Winehouse is just one example), but exactly these kind of songs, we love much, cause they touch our souls. Today, the record labels perpetrate enormous pressure and who wants to be constantly in a depressed mood to be creative and write new songs? Drugs and alcohol are a simple means to compensate. It is sad to see Pete like this and one problem of heroin is, that you always think, you look normal, you act normal and no one sees that you are high. I wish him all the best and hope he will find his anchor to hold on
@1388Anthony19 жыл бұрын
opecsporty wow your a smart girl. I'm a musician and I write poetry myself. Some of the best art is created living life on the edge. Your spot on about the music industry. They throw a few dollars at some starving kids and don't care if they get strung out just keep producing hits. My band isn't signed we turned down a few small time labels we are doing because we love it. If we make some money great.
