🥒 ABOUT BEFRS:
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY point of view. It is not meant to offend any person or culture.

So when they see a cow head or a cow getting butchered like in this video for example, it’ll get flagged as “shock” content, and get demonetized even though the whole point of the video is to educate. It's funny, people from the West are disturbed by them eating parts from a cow, yet they also have hamburgers and steaks, which surprise surprise, comes from a cow as well... I mean, the French eat snails and frog legs and it's a delicacy, yet when people in Africa enjoy their cuisine, it's not? Instead of criticizing a culture's cuisine, we should be RESPECTING it. By respecting that other cultures are different, we start to appreciate just how diverse the planet is. We open new doors for every new language and culture that we learn about

You should always use every part of what you kill. The industry has made people lazy and unwilling to hunt for themselves. I'm thankful that we all are still hunters/gatherers in my large family and use the entire animal, even if it's just cooked down for a stock to use later in the year when needed. We tan all hides for use in shoes, boots, vests, hat's, whatever may be needed or a gift that will last forever. In the early day's of America all parts of the animal was used and never waster.

What's wrong with the tripe? I'm European and we eat tripe too. And the cow head. Armenians have cow feet/pig feet soup called Khash, i've tried it. In my part of Europe we only make soup out of pig feet and I love it. Go to Italy, they eat tripe, they eat sheep intestines in Sicily. It's not that strange even for Europe. I might have had almost all these things that he ate in Zimbabwe. Never tried termites, though, we don't have termites. My Da' was stationed with the RAF in Bulewayo back in the 1950's. To this day, he insists the BEST bbq chicken he EVER ate was in Zimbabwe -- made by a lovely market vendor woman whom cooked on a piece of expanded sheet metal over charcoal in an old wheel drum.

Our chickens are organic and have a unique flavour. All you need is salt and it's super tasty. Believe the hype. Also our free range chickens are the bomb, since they are so athletic their meat is tough but if ou stew them over 3 hours, you'll get the best chicken stew ever.

@@misslynda82 He would love that, no doubt! He just turned 89!! Unfortunately, lewy body dementia and Parkinson's have other plans. His final wishes are to be cremated and his ashes scattered in places he lived and loved the most. Perhaps someday I shall have the opportunity to travel to Zimbabwe, fulfill his wishes, and be blessed enough to try the chicken for myself 😊

Great stuff Sonny!!!! Love your humor, (even though some of your jokes are drier then the Sahara😂) and I love the fact that you hit the markets! That was my favorite place to go as soon as I arrived in a new country back when I could travel! The market is where every thing starts. It's where people mingle and exchange ideas. I've made some good life time friends in the markets of Central America. The market is the perfect place to get to know the people of the country you are visiting. Thanx for the great videos! Keep making them and we'll keep following!
