I hear, particularly in greetings, some clear Greek and Sicilian loan words and terms. For example, the second part of "të haristis" sounds an awful lot like "efharisto," while "ghrazji" is clearly taken from "grazji." The phrases for "excuse me" and "I'm sorry" are also borrowed from Sicilian, it seems. What a fascinating video! I'd not even heard of this language prior to watching it. Giuseppe Catapano: "Atlantis which disappeared 12,000 years ago, was the land of the Pelasgians (ancestors of Albanians), who escaped the flood of Atlantis and began new civilizations on all continents, especially in Europe, Africa and small Asia". THOTH spoke Albanian! Thot means "to say" in Albanian Language. Zeus was a Pelasgian, not a Helen! Illyad and Odyssey were oral poems of Pelasgians. The oracle of Zeus, Dodona of Epirus, was the Tempel of Pelasgians. After Illyad, the Language of Gods was Gheg - North Albanian Dialect.(Herodotus) A study published in the Science Magazine 2023 proves the antiquity of the Albanian language, which is much earlier than the Greek and Armenian languages > 8000 years old. The oldest settlements of Europe > 8000 years old were found in Ohrid Lake Albania. Sanskrit, antique Greek, and Latin languages are already dead. The Albanian Language "GHEG Dialect" is still alive! It is a proto Indo-European language, indeed. It deciphers the ancient symbols and other languages. *** The works of the great poet, Homer, are filled with words that not only survive in Albanian but continue to be used. From Homer, you can get not only words but also phrases that possess all the signs of a typical Albanian expression. If someone were to interpret Homer from the Albanian language perspective, much light would be shed on the works of that famous poet. Between Homeric and Albanian sentences, there is a striking resemblance in expression, phraseology, and sentence structure. A study of this nature would help interpret Homer, since the Albanian language is older than that of Greece (Science Magazine 2023), much can be learned about the influence of this [Albanian] on Homeric and later Greek. @@Johnny-pk3iq Zacharias Papantoniou (Greek: Ζαχαρίας Παπαντωνίου) was a Greek writer. He was born in Karpenissi of Evrytania in February 1877 and died in Athens in 1940.
