But being someone who has it and has multiple thoughts of it, when you get trapped inside your head, there is no escape. You try and try to escape but there isn’t one, and some people turn to suicide. I tried. He did. Yes he’s gone. But if you really think about it, he was trapped in his own head with his own demons for so long, and they won.

I am only 14 and have gone through so much in my life. I've found ways to easily hide my torturing emotions. I am not at a point of suicide but I have some sort of depression or anxiety disorder. I know I am supposed to talk but hiding my emotions seems so much easier. If I am alone I will randomly start balling my eyes out and not know why. I don't know how to exactly express my feelings but my best medicine so far has been listening to music; earbuds in volume high. I don't care if I cry. I have friends and family that have depression and anxiety. They ask me for help but I barely know how to help myself. I care for them. I help the best I can, and when I am by myself sobbing I think of this speech and many more. Music has been my medication and imagine dragons, linkin park, and plenty more bands are a part of that. I hope anyone who is out there suffering finds goodness in the near future and beyond.

I came across this video 3 months ago and how I felt that time was indescribable. RIP Chester. This was an awesome tribute! Its not usually easy to talk about depression and suicidal thoughts. Medication can be a mother fudger if it doesn't work. I lost the closest person in the world to me and I said screw it I don't want to live without them and attempted suicide. Someone got me help and of course I ended up on medication, and another medication... Shit made things worse. I straight up quit it and decided to live. Highs, rock bottoms, good days bad days screwed up days I'm game. Whatever happens I have an important person waiting for me on the other side when it's over.

Silvia Fumagalli - Have watched "so many" tributes to Chester, too many of whom barely said a brief sentence and many just a couple of words.(like: "this is for Chester"). Dan took the time to speak about Chester in the way it should have been and deserved to be.. Much respect to this artist - the speech, song and performance. Thanks for this video, I will be watching it often .
