For me it was the control during transitions. In iMovie I had a hard time to make precise transitions on the beat, when cutting to music. Also the lack of control over the file storage bothered me.

Hi Jenn! Love your video. Just for the curious: I’ve found two things that are better on iMovie: - iMovie has audio ducking with an option called “lower volume of *Other* clips. In Final Cut it’s a manual process. - iMovie has auto Ken burns for multiple images, with zoom in and out. In Final Cut if you apply Ken burns to multiple clips it will make all the same (either zoom in or out) Also I wish Final Cut had that one clic 90 degree rotate button. This said, of course I rather use Final Cut, it’s much more powerful

Hey Francisco, you can go 90 degrees in FCP if you spin the rotation wheel while holding down a modifier key. I think maybe it’s Option? I can’t remember off the top of my head. Thanks for watching!!!

you forgot to mention that FCP also has more advantage for vertical video, unlike iMovie which can only do vertical in App preview mode, but only export at a max of 1080p resolution.

Another thing imovie seems to struggle when you have an audio track and you are inserting videolayers in between one another. It appears to cut off the audio track and so it can be extremely tedious also the stacking that you discussed isn't just for effects but for video as well. Great tutorials Jenn just discovered your page.
