I think Mrs. Tango, Mrs. Skizz and Mrs. Imp, should all be on...to discuss being a spouse of a content creator. I suggested it to Skizz in a stream, so I hope it can happen. It all does depend on them being amenable.

Skizz's talk about his female friend not being able to find happiness reminds me of some great advice i received from my uncle once: Your partner is not responsible for your happiness. When your partner can no longer make you happy, your love turns to resentment. If you are not happy outside of the relationship, you cannot be happy inside one. It's not "you make me happy." It's "i wish to share my happiness with you."

Thank you for getting a neurologist Skizz! You gotta take care of yourself. Also, Impulse, I think that you could be happy and not realize it because youre comparing too much. I would hope that when you have a fun night with the wife and kids or with Skizz and his wife or whatever you enjoy that the time leaves you with a sense of happiness. And being intentional with gratefulness does so much toward bringing happiness and has a good effect on mental health.

I wish I found your guys podcast when I was depressed and in a bathtub with the water of self loathing enveloping me. Even when I was in therapy, I wanted my therapist to make me better. Like he could have just flipped a light switch and made me happy again despite the intense mental trauma I had just endured. But it truly is just the mindset and it took me so long to understand that.

This podcast made me go wash the dishes The context: My mom recently got another job, by now she has 4 jobs, to keep herself and me thriving. (I have a job, this job makes me happy but is inconsistent in money income) She is an amazing person, i can rant about her way too much. She has been away from home for days, and she does not have the energy to do home chores anymore, and she was always the one doing those I have sensory issues, but i really want to make her happy, so i went and did chores, because this podcast made me think a bit more Thank you

You probably wont see this because it’s an old video, but on the topic of some of the topics not relating to disabled people- I’ve felt that at times. Even so your podcasts have inspired me. They have also put me in a funk of “why cant i just do these things?” but when I met myself where I’m at and listened to some of the things you’ve said it has really helped me. For example: i was feeling bad about the “why cant I?” episode because i heard you and others doing incredible things that I really want to do but when I stopped and examined myself and where I’m at I realized that it’s okay to be disabled and i have to work one step at a time. because of that I was able to start my application for SSDI because i realized that if i kept pushing myself past my limits I wouldnt be able to keep going. It helped me realize that part of striving to be better is recognizing your limits and finding a way not to overcome them but to work with them. Thank you so much Imp and Skizz, this podcast means the world to me and has gotten me through a lot of bad disability days!

One of my first thoughts on this episode is from a teacher I had in highschool who used to tell us "The best way to live a fulfilling life is to do good things with AND for good people." Thats obviously pretty subjective but it has always stuck with me that the best way to make yourself happy is to live your life with and for other people.

I’ve taken many lessons that you and impulse have shared over the podcasts…but today, you made me cry and realized exactly what I need to do to improve my life. “Change what makes you happy”. I immediately understood the message, even if you thought it wasn’t articulated enough in the moment. I’ve been fighting myself because of self doubt and today my happiness is clear. I’m trans, and now I’m embracing that and be my true self. Thank you Imp and Skizz….today starts a new chapter for me. ❤

Thought that I've had for a while... You will never be happy if you're chasing it. Happiness comes from being comfortable, enjoying what you have, and not being hung up on goals or results. Most people think of measures of success when they're thinking of happiness, but I think those things are not in parallel. Skizz nailed it on the head with his comments about focusing on others. Being fulfilled makes you happy. Being successful _can_ make you happy, but it's tangential.

A little speel here - when you guys talked about gaining happiness through your actions towards others, it got me thinking a bit, about how when I was in school if there was a subject I was particularly good at and I notice that a classmate was struggling with it, I wouldn't hesitate to offer help and even hand over notes and sometimes even make notes just for them. I took it in my stride because I LOVED doing it, I cherish the thought that there are a few people out there who know something because of me, who learned something and are maybe using that knowledge in their lives, except maybe the trigonometry stuff but you know. Eventually, people started warning me against it, that this is a very one way thing and I'm gonna regret it, and I shook it off saying hey I get extra revision by teaching em, but I did cut back on the whole making notes because as I got older, I had more responsibility, and I didn't have much time. In fact in looking after others I did nothing for myself but didn't see it as a bad thing because my studies kinda consumed me. I was enjoying it, so it didn't bother me, I thought I was happy... Then people started using me like a wet rag, or rather, I only later understood that I was being used by others when they needed me, friends ignored me until it was finals week, after school's over my chat's empty, no calls unless I make em or they have a doubt. Now in university, I've made myself a priority, and it's not like I'm not happy, but sometimes I find myself feeling like I'm not worthy of this happiness because I'm no longer obtaining it in the way I'm used to. Now I feel angry when people ask for help when I know they only know my name because I can help solve a question and then that's it they're here for what I know and not who I am and that sucks... a good friend of mine sucks it up and just goes with it, keeping a limit to it but still helping. I dunno if I should, after every horrid thing that's happened through me helping others who didn't really care So now I'm just confused

Timestamp Guy 0:00 = Start 2:56 = What is happiness 4:39 = Money isn't equal happniness 8:00 = Becoming comfortable with what you had 9:00 = skizzlemand eye problem 10:40 = Happiness live in perspective 12:26 = Happiness by giving others 21:00 = Others becoming comfortable with what you giving 28:00 = Happiness is a 2 way road 33:00 = Food is drug? 35:00 = why we take wrong decision? I have a answer see below. 42:40 = helping strange make you happy Happiness Formula => 2 way road + someone to listen calmly + Value + Freedom + Sleep + Being blessed _______________________________________________________________________ 1 way road + alone + become too comfortable * perspective How this formula works? Ans everything above ____ should be + or you should have in life. everythting below ____ should be - or out of your life Defination 1.) 2 way road = when you have both road. A road to give value to others (ex. Skizzle man giving his wife great time by washing dishes and make up the kitchen for her to get her hair done peacefully.) And A road to take value. Either you doing something for yourself or someother giving you value. (Impulse wife need self care after years of looking for her kids.) 2.) 1 way road = having only 1 road. either you only give others (like charity worker people) or just take in (like skizzle friend girl story.) 3.) Value = being a valuable for others. As human we crave for others to see us valuable that why we try to prove stuff to others. (ex. Impulse giving that lady stuff from above shell. That give impulse happiness because he notice he has value at that point for that lady.) 4.) Freedom = we need space both in physical and mental. Free to live in this world and free to make decision. 5.) Sleep = You guys miss this in podcast but you can't be happy without sleep you need sleep. 6.) Feeling blessed = When you got bless or you are at receiving end of value. (ex. someone stand up to give you seat at train which is full and you have to be there for hours.) 7.) Becoming too comfortable = You become used to what you have and what you life is and if something change and become hard. You get fustrated. You get mad not because it too bad but because you become too used to with what you had (ex. Impulse feeling recording all night content is hard. When earlier that was what he do daily.) 8.) Someone to listen = You need someone to listen. Assume this podcast when only skizzle man speaks and impulse just listen. Does impulse feel happy to be here? (ex. when you speak to your pet dog and tell him about your life trouble even when he can't relate to that stuff.) 9.) Perspective = THis is multiplied by whole thing because it governs everything and you can change sadness and happiness with this one thing alone. (ex. even when skizzleman one eye is not fine. He is happy that other works) Question & Answers q: Why you feel happy helping strangers? a: because you provide VALUE to that person at that point of time. So even when your whole life you were bad. You was valuable to that person at that time. q: why you feel happy when by luck you got a lift by car by some stranger in unknown city? a: because you are FEELING BLESSED at that point of time that some stranger genuinely helped you. q: why you took pizza when it hurts you? a: You always are 2 persons. You are not alone. you always are 2 person One who is there at situation and one who is in future/past. example : * the time you put alarm at night for 5 am a: Person A (at moment guy) : okay so i am making plan to wake up at 5 am for that future guy and i don't have to actually wake up that future guy will have too. Person B (at time to wake up) : okay that past guy set alarm for to wake up but i don't want to. he set alarm not me. He should woke up and i am not him. So you stop alarm and get back to sleep YOU see you always are 2 person. One future/past and one at moment guy. And those 2 person want to do different things. that why you eat pizza when you know it hurts you because it hurt future guy not you. YOU are that moment guy you are not that future guy and when you eat it. Now you become future guy and you feel said because past guy did something that You don't want to do.

I would define happiness as “existential fullness” where you find yourself in a place where you don’t need anything more from something, be it your life, or job, or that meal, or whatever. I am happy when I am without want. The problem is that you always want stuff and a lot of philosophy grapples with the way out. Like a Buddhist would say that you need to let go of want to escape suffering. Whatever the solution is, it is hard and a defining problem of the human condition.

Speaking as someone with depression, I find myself being super outwardly focused and it does genuinely help me be happier. As a result, I do struggle with being too outwardly focused, but I am becoming more balanced as time goes on because I'm working toward letting myself be inwardly focused sometimes. Its hard, because I am so used to being all in for other people that it feels wrong when I say, "No, this one is for me." It feels selfish, despite the fact that its an uncommon occurrence. Good episode, it definitely helps reaffirm that I'm on the right track.

For me-speaking as someone with pretty severe depression-finding happiness has always been about recognizing that it's a choice. Life is full of both wonderful things and horrible things. If you want to be unhappy, you're always going to be able to go out there and find something that will ruin your day. But the reverse is also true. There are so many good things in the world. Good people, good times, good food, good books... an amazing assortment of sources of joy. If you want to be happy, you seek those out. Celebrate them. Make them part of your life. Choose to build positive things into what you do and who you are. It's not always easy, because bad things keep inevitably happening and we're wired to focus on that, to protect ourselves. But you keep turning toward the light, and if you do that enough, it becomes your way of life. You can *always* find some way to make things just a tiny bit better. You can always move forward.

I often say this about booze consumption "I'm stealing happiness from tomorrow and using it today!" because at the time you want it and it feels good to scratch that itch, but it almost never makes you feel better the next day. Conversely, exercise is "stressing today for a better tomorrow". You feel the stress of exercising your body and fatigue and all that, but your body adapts and grows and improves in so many ways which makes you more capable and healthier for long term wellness.

As a city girl daughter, I don’t like asking for my parents for grand things, but this year I asked my dad to buy tickets to a kpop concert for my younger sibling and I’s birthdays. It’d be their first concert and it was our favorite group so I just had to ask. I’m a bit estranged from my dad, so asking this if him was an (unspoken) big deal for the family too. The morning after over some coffee one on one, he asked me if I enjoyed the show, and said yes, and that it made my sibling happy. He asked me if it made me happy too, and in the moment I said yes, but it got me thinking - I’ve been to a few stadium concerts already, so I already knew what I was in for. My favorite parts of the show was when the two of us were singing and dancing along to our favorite songs live, putting on our fancy outfits & makeup, and getting to see them smile when the idols came on stage. They’re usually so stoic, so I was so grateful to get to see them so excited :) Thinking back to that night brings me so much joy - It’s moments like those that keep me smiling long after, not the actual gift of the concert itself. (Although it was pricey and definitely out of my budget to buy the both of us tickets - my dad really came in clutch for me there!) Just a little story from the perspective of a young adult daughter for the two of you ^^ I liked hearing your takes on this subject as men and as fathers. Thank you for sharing yourselves like this with the world, Imp and Skizz! 💛💙🎉

To me, happiness is a kind of “playground of the mind”. I have my “toys” (mechanical aptitude means my “toys” are spacial relationships and movement…basically, design and physical assembly), my playmates (family and friends, pets, “neighbors” who might become new friends), playground equipment (housing, transportation, job), weather (rain or sun, both are needed for things to grow, including me), and random “butterflies” (little bonus bits of joy).

Gratitude is such an important factor in all of this. As you find things to be grateful for in your life? It sparks your happiness. So, find more things to be grateful for. Try to find things on a daily basis. The end result is that more things will come to you that will make you grateful/happy.

I’m so glad y’all found a way to open up by using the podcast as an outlet to talk about both your lives. You took the true life behind the scenes and by sharing it with the world, your opening the stream for others to see that you both are real people with real lives going on. The reality that you share is also giving so many people around the world to show that even content creators have lives outside the computer screen. Being up front and honest on all the topics you have discussed and shared hit home on so many levels everytime a new podcast comes out. People should really listen to the stories behind what goes on than the computer screen just like celebrities dealing with their true selves when they aren’t in front of cameras all day. I’m proud to be a subscriber to both your channels and to the many others that I follow because they are real people too! The happiness starts within and even if that means you making others happy is where your happiness is then go for it. That is all that matters because people have a hard time finding ways to “be happy” but as Skizz said in the beginning of this podcast, happiness means something different to everyone and is not the same as your friend or neighbor or even family member. I find my happiness in seeing the smiles on my children’s faces as they grow. As long as I know they are happy in their own successes in life then I know I’ve done a good job in raising them. All the while by having to be both mom and dad since we lost him when they were younger, we found a way to use that as a motivational tool everyday in our lives. My motto for life “what can I do today to make someone else’s life easier and make them smile, if nothing but a simple hello”! Great cast guys so proud of you both!

I spent around a decade dealing with depression and feeling mostly miserable. There were always a few moments of happiness e.g. Seeing my favorite band live, doing an incredible youth leadership course or just hanging out with friends. But I was mostly miserable. A year ago I that changed when I accepted who I am and shared my biggest secret which was that I am Trans and I have been having thoughts related to it for 13 years. Now that I am being true to myself happiness has been so much easier to find. It's given me the confidence to go out more meet more people and enjoy seeing their happiness too. I recently invited someone i just meet climbing and seeing the joy they had when they finaly reached to top of the wall also filled me with happiness. A year ago I would never have invited them to do that.

I do believe that balance is the key to happiness, but it's important to remember that for true balance you need both sides to be equal. You can't have just easy without hard, joy without pain, or even clam without anger. You find balance by learning to control yourself under every situation.

Happiness is such an interesting emotion. It requires effort to experience, and needs sadness to be fully appreciated. I really liked this Podcast. And I’m currently simultaneously the happiest I’ve ever been and dealing with some of the most difficult problems I’ve ever faced. Basically, in one year, I have been diagnosed with around 8 incurable, chronic diseases that cause pain and lessen quality of life. I would be lying if I did not admit that these moments came with their fair share of sadness. But - I am simultaneously the happiest I have ever been, because I have answers. I’ve suffered in silence and been alone for many years, and now I have a team of physicians that are helping me understand my body and find treatment that works, is appropriate, and enacts real improvement on my quality of life. I’m happy, because I’m finally getting treated. I’m watching my health change, all because of my own power. There is always hope. There is always cause for happiness. ✨ And to my fellow chronic illness warriors, the sun will come out tomorrow. ☀️🌈

I definitely needed to hear this one. When Skizz said that you shouldn't lie about whether or not you happy just because you're not outwardly unhappy, it hit a cord with me. It kinda made me realize I'm not unhappy, but I'm not as happy as I can be. Then all the points Impulse made about how making someone else happy can make you much happier than trying to make yourself happy got my gears turning on how I could make my family and friends happy. I'm not afraid to say that I focus on myself more than I focus on other people, but I'm trying to be more selfless and it's hard just because I've gotten so used to doing things for myself to make me happy, than I've lost some of that consideration for other people. But hearing you guys talk about this has really put me in the mood of how can I make some happy. There's an old children's story I used to read when I was little called, "Have you filled a bucket today?". The bucket is basically your happiness meter. It literally talks about how the best way to fill up your own bucket, is to fill someone else's bucket. You guys are so inspiring and give such great advice while still making us laugh. I am very grateful that you have started this podcast and will continue to be if it were to ever end. Thank you

I think you guys hit on some of the big shortcomings to what many people look for happiness in, but I think more people should persue joy, which in some ways is similar to happiness, but I find is much more stable. Happiness is connected to a moment, but joy is connected to a perspective of hope and sacrificial love, and can still be experienced even in difficult circumstances. When it comes to happiness and joy, you're absolutely right that only looking inwards to just what you want will absolutely kill lasting happiness or even satisfaction. I really love watching you guys share your thoughts and experiences, but one book that I genuinely believe has some of the most down to earth and real stories of people who went through the highs and lows of life and where they found joy, purpose and love is the Bible. 10/10 would recommend.

I feel so called out by this episode. I'mma get my ish together eventually... In the meantime, Skizz is soooo right about how temporary pleasures don't equal happiness. And I've noticed, too, that I'm better motivated by others' well-being more than my own, so now I tell myself that I'm doing this hard thing because it's the unselfish way to make sure I can continue to be the person others need me to be.

I think we can all really appreciate what y’all said about always wanting more in order to be happy. It seems like nothing is ever “enough.” I think that’s why it’s so important to find your happiness in God - everything on this earth is finite and imperfect. Anything here that you put your happiness in will someday fail you. That’s why we need Someone who is perfect and eternal - that is the only way we will not have misplaced our happiness. Love your show, guys! Highlight of the week! ❤

You gave the best answer to being happy and finding happiness. Think of others above oneself. It’s that simple and it doesn’t matter who you are. When we, as humans, focus our attention on loving something other than ourselves, that fosters kindness and happiness for everyone. Impulse helping in the grocery store is a perfect example. He didn’t make a grand gesture of kindness, just something simple will bring happiness to others and to oneself. Certainly there will be times when we need help before we can help others, but if there’s someone capable of helping us, our issue will become resolved and then we can refocus on helping others. That’s the world we need to foster and that’s the happiness we need to spread in the world to create a better place for the future.

I got a cart for a lady at the grocery store and she was also super appreciative. I don't remember what she said but I remember I almost cried lol. I was having a rough day. reminds of the quote and I might be a little bit wrong about it but i think it's something like "people will forget what you did, and they'll forget what you said, but they will remember the way that you made them feel" and I think it's pretty fitting

Have been dealing with a knee problem and it has interfered with sleep and everything else. Happiness is the torture of physical therapy and the reduction in pain after. Or a full night's sleep. Even a reduction of pain is pure pleasure.

I am a month late with this Happiness podcast, but I found at over the halfway mark, that I need to change my way of thinking about what makes me happy. I live alone and am happy with living this way, but I am now seeing that I am not happy because I am lonely in a way. All the people in my life have moved away from me, but maybe I moved away from them. Because I don't know if they still/did think of me when I disappeared. Not being self centred in any way here. I just didn't think of it from that other perspective. You have made me think about what would make me happy and I guess it would be to have my family back in my life. Then you brought up the 'what's stopping you?' podcast. Now I am wondering even more.

Story time. My first job as a teenager was working as a stock boy for a crafts shop. The unit next door was a barber. The guy was terrible at cutting hair, really awful. He barely ever had any customers, and few repeat customers. One day when I was breaking down boxes I was talking to the owner of the craft shop about it. "Oh yeah," he said, "he knows how bad he is. He doesn't do it for money. He made a fortune years ago and never has to work again. He loses thousands a year renting the unit. But he loves doing it, so he does it." And it resonated, so I have a different relationship to work and happiness than most people.

I VERY much identify with Impulse's moving goal post of happiness. I was (and still somewhat am) like that too. Every time I achieve a goal of mine ... "K! On to the next thing!". Taking time to reflect and be happy/proud of what I have done only took away from the time I would have to work on the next thing. Most of my happiness came in the pursuit and learning involved in achieving a goal. Eventually, I noticed that I was equating the "high" I was feeling when I accomplished something with true happiness. The only thing that worked for me to address that was to sit for a while (over many instances, not just all in one sitting) and consider all the things I currently have in my life that I am thankful for. But more than that, I had to stop and actively try to look for the small things that make me happy. The sound that is made from blowing air pass a blade of grass pressed between your thumbs. The smell of a lit firepit. Just sitting on the lawn on a beautiful day with a beer in hand. Building something with my hands (can be a small wood-working project - love the smell of freshly cut wood too). Being surrounded by all the tech that brings me so much joy. Looking forward to the tech advances that could come. It's odd, but it's almost like you have to start willingly achieving less to be able to experience happiness more. Now, I still do all the things I used to do that I THOUGHT brought me happiness (achieve similar goals and move on to the next one). But something's different. I no longer NEED to do that. When I complete a goal, the urge to immediately move on to the next goal isn't there right away. I can bask in silence for a while and feel content. Just some food for thought :)

There's this saying my maternal grandfather always said. It's in German, but I'll translate it. "Hartes Brot ist nicht hart. Kein Brot ist hart." or, in English, "Hard bread isn't hard (=stale). (Having) No bread is hard (=difficult)." It always put into focus for me how perspective really is everything. Objectively speaking, stale bread isn't enjoyable to eat, just as is. But it's better than having nothing to eat. What you focus on really changes your life. Do you always focus on what you're lacking? Or do you focus on what you already have? I strongly believe that if we all were to focus a little more on what we already have instead of what we're lacking (very difficult with social media, I myself know that too well), we'd all be happier.

One of my fav things to do is to compliment people whenever I see something I genuinely think is cool or pretty. Like their hair or clothes or even make up. I started this when I use to work retail to help brighten peoples days and it was always so exciting to see their eyes light up and a small smile show up each time. I once even got a 5 star review for complimenting someone on their Ranboo hoodie lol. I started this after noting how I would often wear something and be so proud or happy about it and hope someone would comment on it so I could talk about it but no one ever would. S I will just do it every now and then.

Listening to you guys talk about doing things for people you care about to create your happiness through giving other people little pieces of joy made me think about me and my dad. I've been struggling financially and emotionally the last few months due to a relationship breakdown and my dad and stepmum have been so supportive and kind to me. Now my dad is in his fifties and has diabetes/pre-diabetes (i can't remember which) and as such has been trying to cut out refined sugars and fruit sugars and the like, and mentioned in passing some special expensive dates that were safe to use as a sweetener. Fast forward a couple weeks and I'm at the supermarket and i see them for a pretty decent price, so i grab a handful. It wasn't much, but seeing my dad's face when i gave them to him and then hearing how the icecream he made with them was tasty made my day. Love ya dad ❤

I don't usually hop on the youtube channel unless I have something to say but today I did. Thank you firstly for all the amazing podcasts that I personally love listening to while I workout (20 year old girl powerlifting while I listen to minecrafters talk about life). But what I really wanted to say is I have so much respect for any grown adult who continuously takes care of their bodies as they grow older, if not for themselves for their children and their grandchildren. Keep up the good work and good luck with the gym and healthy eating. It's hard.

I think there's something to be said for being happy in the moment. I'm dealing with some health issues that have knocked me on my butt. However I'm still able to show up for my kids, to show up for work, and do what needs to be done. This makes me happy. Despite my setbacks, I can still put good into the world and that feels good. For reference: I'm an elementary beginning band teacher and just finished out year 18 today! I'm also making Minecraft content and slowly gaining subscribers. I'm ALSO a single parent of two teens, a partner to my boyfriend, a friend to some....I am happy in my life right where I am. I do wish I was healthy as well, but at least I'm happy :D For Impulse: I hope you can find at least little things to help you feel happy in the moment. Happiness doesn't need to be a goal or a destination; happiness can be found along the way in the smallest of things. Thank you both for sharing - I'm only 15 minutes in, but I'm enjoying this conversation

Another great podcast! I have been listening since the beginning and I was inspired to course correct because of something that Skizz said early on. I was in a job I loved but the situation of that job was making me miserable because it had drifted from what my life's work is. It took me a long time to put myself first and quit after 9 months It became clear to me that the situation wasn't going to change and I was burning out. Once I quit, a tremendous weight was lifted from my soul and I realized I was capable of being happy. I'm still learning how to care for myself after years of taking care of other people first. I'm still learning which way to turn the various dials. I'm so grateful for the two of you and the time and effort that you put into all the content you create. Peace.

I feel I can never truly be happy but watching you guys, listening to you. The Life series, HermitCraft and the realm I play on with friends... I get moments happiness. yea... happyness is tricky and very personal. i think i found what makes me truly happy and it's simple, not easy, but simple for me. its a combo of 3 things that all need to be a yes: my and my close one's health, a way of expressing and sharing creativity, and third and most important... being able to look back and be proud of how you spent your week/month. it doesnt have to go to extremes like living life to the limit ecc... just doing enough for work, family and self (which ist easy to balance but its... achievable, no mega mountain to surpass to unlock happyness, just simple things). this is coming from a person who has been and still is struggling with procrastination and its currenlty the only thing that makes me unhappy, i haven't been proud of my week for a long time now... but i had a good couple months where i was doing good and i really felt happy

Happiness isn't something you search for, hope for, or need some material to kickstart. Happiness is a decision. 🤔. Happiness is a choice. To a point, I might add, circumstances can override this temporarily, the key is to make it so ONLY EXTREME circumstances are strong enough to have any effect on your choices.

With my Mental struggles I definitely am too outward thinking I'm constantly afraid of just about everything and I don't take care of myself and only want to help my friends or family and make sure they're happy I don't care about helping myself because I feel hopeless so instead I decide instead of helping myself I'll just give up on me and try to help everyone else even if they don't want or need my help. My old Therapist once told me that I need to focus on myself and while it's kind to try and help others I'm not Superman I can't help everyone especially those who don't want it and instead of getting frustrated when someone doesn't let me help them I just need to accept I can't and move on. I've definitely got issues I should really work through because to be honest I sometimes feel as though I died a long time ago and now I'm just empty and going through the emotions acting like it's all fine and I'm not drowning inside. Happiness can be hard to find but I'll keep searching for it as long as I can it's just sometimes hard to carry on

I really like this episode, because I think about this particular topic a lot. I think my happiness comes from always having something I love to work on. I love the idea of always growing and challenging myself as an artist, so in this case I'm moving the goalpost, but I think moving the goalpost can be something to be happy about on it's own. The problems, the challenges, and the trials are what humans live for in my opinion. They just have to realize how empty an easy life would be.

One of the most interesting thing is how doing things for others makes oneself happy. That goes for everyone, even if it isn’t the same way of doing things. Not all of us would be happily weeding the garden for a garden, but Meybe your happy helping someone get a ride to a doctors appointment by driving them. Could be someone drawing a picture for them. Lots of things eve; if some are “worth” more than others. It’s why I enjoy this game called Art Fight, how it works is in July the game begins everyone is on two teams, you get points by “attacking” others by drawing their characters, and vice versus. My ratio is for every 2 artworks I make I’d get one back. (And it’s not necessarily a one to one exchange) but I love it making art for others drawing their own characters.

Skizz talked about not taking any amount of money for making your family sick, and it made me think. One of the biggest barriers to happiness can be sickness or deteriorated health in some way. When I think about getting lots of money. The first thing I want to spend it on is healthcare. I live in the UK so we do have free healthcare, but specifically surrounding mental health, how long you have to wait is immense. And especially with COVID creating a backlog, it’s now even longer than it was before. Now I won’t specify, but I have a mental health condition which requires a specialist. And there are only two places in the entire country on our NHS that can help with it. And I’ve been on a waiting list for 27 months. If I had money I could afford to get help privately where the wait times, whilst still stupidly long, are much shorter. It’s the problem of the common illnesses being treated rather easily, whilst the rarer ones get left behind and it sucks for everyone with that slightly rarer illness. My dad has a heart condition that has confounded the (supposedly) best cardiologists in the world. And due to it, he has had 3 cardiac arrests. If I was the richest woman in the world I’d give my fortune away in a heartbeat to make him healthy.
