What a great top ten! I have 3 from the first 5 and 3 from the second 5. My Life in Advertising - what a book/story. And what I love about KZbin (this one just came from KZbin left field)! No not a father of 3 - almost grown up children - watching videos of an obviously very smart young woman. But being able to share this and therefore your journey and example with them - I just group shared with said 3 - and it's not coming from me harping on! Kudos to you, your self learning and obvious work ethic. Impressive stuff.

Great list of books and yes, it is true, mindset is the base and more probably makes the difference between success and betraying to yourself. There is one fantastic book I recommend: Set Godin, "This is marketing." It talks about the mind set and the service for the right audience. I loved the part where he explains that marketing is the key and the lock. Find the lock first and then create the key for that specific lock. Success is there. Thank you so much Sara.

What do u think of The Robert Collier Letter book (if you've read it), I find it to be a pretty tough read.. (boring at times) but I still think it has very good value if you get through it

(also opted in for your online course, just this moment) have you done any videos on your research phase on your copy work? like, where do you go to research or how do you structure it? if not, would that be a video worth doing? :D

Thanks for the suggestion! Because researching is different for each niche, it's a bit harder to create a video on. You'll want to look for reputable sources in your niche. This gets easier the more you write in your niche.

I read each and every one of these 10 books and they all helped me grow as a copywriter. Whether they're classics or brand new, you'll learn a ton about copywriting techniques. As you build your business, you'll see which techniques you prefer to use and which you don't like as much. Sometimes it's more about your preference than about whether the techniques are modern or not. But Breakthrough copywriting by David Garfinkel is one of my faves- straight and to the point
