Hansaji's Response: Spread your legs from behind as much a possible and then try to hold one ankle and then repeat it with other leg. With regular practice it you will be able to do this asana nicely.

Yes but cause of vericose vein is overweight so first weight reduction is important. A heavy weight person will find it difficult to do any inverted poses.
