Are you looking for ways to improve your walking by strengthening the primary muscles for walking, especially if you have a neuromuscular disease such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or multiple sclerosis? If so, this video is for you!
In this video, Nathan from Skills and Wellness will show you how to do five simple exercises that target the main muscles involved in walking, such as the calves, the quads, the hamstrings, the glutes, and the tibialis anterior. These exercises will help you improve your walking form, stability, and efficiency, as well as prevent foot drop and other common problems.
You don't need any special equipment or a lot of space to do these exercises. All you need is a chair, a belt, throw pillow, and some motivation. You can do these exercises at home, at the office, or anywhere you like. Just make sure you have a stable support, such as a walker, a cane, or a railing, when you do them.
These exercises are suitable for people with neuromuscular disease, such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or muscular dystrophy, and even cerbral palsy. However, you should always consult with your doctor or therapist before trying any new exercise program. And remember to warm up your muscles with some gentle stretches or movements before you begin.

Thank you so much for reclaiming video. I love all your exercises. Unfortunately I could not do the squat raise. My hands on my weaker thigh did not help me to get up and in fact it felt like they were pressing my leg down. I'm recovering from a fractured pelvis in the adductor tendon area.
