In this video, Tim discusses some of the great benefits that can be found with walking backward. This is another one of those movements that you want to be able to experience so that you can know! So, once you know, let me know what you think!

Great as always, Tim. I usually do my crawling in the parking lot besides my apartment, and I've managed to caught the attention of some of my neighbors. They probably think I have a couple of loose screws. I find it pretty fun, though, being able to train unconventionally and baffle everyone around you thinking you're messing around, while, in reality, you're becoming way stronger than you've ever been.

YES. I love allowing my neighbors to see all the crazy ways that make me stronger. It also keeps them from wanting to borrow sugar.

Thank you, Tim. And I also want to thank you for showing us the importance of swinging/extending the arms properly during walking. I've become much more used to doing so, and I started because I remembered your advice to do so whilst walking.

I have been walking backwards for awhile now, it definitely engages different muscles and challenges the brain! Great video 👍

Tim, thanks for this video. I walk backwards alot, just like a crawl backwards. However, I never really noticed that I was not swinging my arms with youthful vigor. Our joints were made to enjoy movement and I need to let my arms enjoy their journey. Thank you again.

Hi Tim. I have been walking/running backwards for about a year. Also go upstairs backwards. Really helps the knees. (reason I started)

GOOD INFO. !! I DID MY WALKING BACKWARDS ....IT MADE ME VERY SORE !! WHAT HURT THE WORST ? NOT SURE , BUT I LIKE IT ! I AM 79 Y.O. !!! NICE TO BE IN YOUR PROGRAM AGAIN.

Tim, thank you. I loved how you stopped at about the 2.40 mark in a pose with the right toe starting the backward step, when you were explaining that “The Body is an X”. This deliberate stop/pose reinforced the importance of your message. I was rapt that you further elaborated the “toe before heel” as you rolled your foot when demonstrating towards the end of the video. And, NO, you were not rambling. You talk naturally without lecturing and are so inspiring. I also appreciated how you demonstrated about looking over your shoulder to see where you are going. What you may not be aware is what you did was how you focused in front in the earlier demos. This is important as some people need that horizon to keep their balance. It is not a criticism, but more of the subtle messages you demonstrate in your awesome videos. Thanks again, Raymond from Melbourne, Australia.

Looks like a scene from the film Tenet😂. All seriousness backwards walking is great, especially with loaded carries ( do it holding dumbbells if you still want the exaggerated arm swing)

do you think you could make a video about in the future for people with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome? I’m 27 and i’m hypermobile in my knees, shoulders, and hips and need stability.

@@OriginalStrengthSystem 🤣. I just ask because back when I actually ran, it felt good to spin around and jog backwards sometimes. Always felt easier on my knees
