Excellent and useful variation for the egg loop. I always had the same problem when hooking my egg bags: stuck before the new loop or/and tearing the egg bag. This new knot will, definitely, solve the problem. Thank you so much.

Yes yes yes yes YES! I love the egg loops knot but the tag tearing up my live bait was very frustrating, I wanna buy you a six pack mate! I’ll only be doing it this way for now on, great vid too, very easy to follow along

Nick I just found your video. This makes a clean way to bait your sandshrimp without tearing up your bait. I just don’t know why I didn’t think of this. Thankfully you did. Thanks Nick

Wow. I can’t believe I’ve never seen or thought to do that myself before. I would always use a utility knife to try and cut it as flush as possible. Gonna give this a try with the upcoming springer season. Thanks!! 🍻🍻

Honestly, I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner. I used to curse those tag ends for years. But hey, better late than never 😂

great! And it seems to has the further advantage to not catch the tag end with the tightening loop when setting the knot.

Should always start your wrapping of line away from the hook eye gap .

Ditch the knot and use a regular knot and bait elastic.
@guyh.4553 Жыл бұрын
Call me naive, but why don't you just trim the tag end with finger nail clippers and not have a dangling tag? Thats what i do.
@NorthwestOpenSeason Жыл бұрын
I found that the closer I trim the tag end, the more damage it does going through bait. Especially with heavier lines.

@@NorthwestOpenSeason interesting. Something that I've never considered nor thought of.... hmmmm
