Hi Rowan, welcome to my channel! I would love to create a 30 day challenge but I work full-time so it's difficult for me to create that many days. I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate) so one idea would be to get through the beginner level workouts, and when you feel ready, you could try some of the intermediate level ones. I categorize all of the workouts into the playlists on my channel. I do have a second channel as well for chair workouts, and some of them have standing exercises within those workouts. I'll add the link for you here: www.youtube.com/@ImprovedHealthChairWorkouts I create chair workouts biweekly now and upload them on the new channel. Btw, I love Vancouver Island. I'm really enjoying these workouts! I used to do a lot of walking but my hip has arthritis in it and I can't walk much any more without lots of pain. These exercises are great! They hit all parts of the body and leave me feeling like I have had a good workout when I am finished. Thanks so much!!!!

I found this video today, wanting something to ease back into working out after a 6week upper respiratory issue. Thank you so much! You had me using muscles that I rarely used in my strength and cardio class a the gym. Removing the “momentum” in the movements is new to me. I have used your walking workouts (70s and 80s music my favorites) off and on for over a year. Combined with this seated weights, I’ve decided to quit my gym membership and use your videos at least 5 times a week!

The seated workouts are quite varied. For the gentle and beginner levels, you'll get more range of motion exercises. If you want to intensity the seated workouts, you can try the intermediate level ones (which can be quite the workout).

Another winning video Jules. We had the class on Wednesday from 11 to 12pm. Older lady did the class with cool music. Their was three seniors with walkers, they put them at back and held onto chair to do the exercises. Everyone had so much fun, and two people saw we were having fun and came in to join. She did standing exercises, and sitting. Some were like you do. I was amazed how many tenants showed up. Service coordinator didn’t think anyone was interested, and no one would show. I think she was hoping that. We proved her wrong, she was shocked when she saw people signing in. Tenant President Christine came as well to work out. It’s going to be every Wednesday same time. People were laughing and having fun. People want to get healthy. To see people with walkers come in to exercise, made me so happy.

On days when you have a hard time motivating yourself, just promise yourself that you'll do 5 minutes, and that 5 minutes will likely end up being much longer (hopefully the entire workout). Today I made this a mixed exercise: some seated, some standing--all challenging. My knees can't tolerate sit to stands, but they can for squats. You manage to add interesting variations of more common moves which keeps me interested. When I could I increased my reps assuring me that I received a thorough workout!. I love all the music you play on your videos, Jules, and this one was no exception. I plan on working on your 5 day series. I have 3 more days to go! Thank you!...Anastasia

I adjusted this for me by standing up a lot of the time and using weights more frequently. Still it was fun to have you lead me and keep me going. Even so my arms got quite tired and I needed to pause for a few seconds and then continue. Thank you.💕🐣

Well, I just completed Day 2. I use a smartwatch which does not record my steps in the grocery store when pushing a cart. However, after Day 2, I looked at my step counter and it was over 1,000 steps. I did the exercises at 7:00 am, first activity of the day!

If you can stand at all, then yes, try to stand since you’ll be lifting your body weight which will be more challenging.

@@ImprovedHealth Thank you. Trying a 3 weeks series of hyaluronic acid knee injections which require 48 hours of no lifting, no jogging afterwards. The good news is that the two days rest really make me want to resume.

Jules your exercises are very good. I just started seeing a physio. She suggested that I do clinical pilates if I want to strenghten my legs even more. I was in hospital for more than two months after a very severe fall in early October last year. I was not able to walk and my calves were very swollen. Now I can walk, thanks to medical science and divine intervention but my legs are still weak. I will think about the clinical pilates. Do you think that this is a good idea? Thanks again. GBU.

Pilates is definitely beneficial for building core strength and overall muscle strength. I'm glad to read that you're seeing physio since they are the experts with prescribing exercises after injuries and accidents. I think the physio's suggestion is a great idea to continue to build strength.
