OMG! I didn't realize there were 2 different 7 day programs. I started last week with Day 1 for Seniors AND BEGINNERS. But on Day 2, I unknowingly did Day 2 for Seniors only. I think I then did the rest of the week for Seniors only. So, today I figured I should do Day 1 for Seniors. Whew! I wish I could coordinate my arms and legs. It seems I can do one or the other, but both together turns me into a spastic human. Practice, practice, practice.

Lol, okay, so for the legs and arms...just focus on moving the legs first. Once you get the pattern down, then add in the arms. Plus, no one is watching you so it really doesn't matter:) But, I find even for myself, I sometimes have to focus on the legs first before I add in the arms. It makes it easier that way. Jules, I found this routine most interesting: even though it was labeled "Beginner" I made sure to make it my own by ramping up some moves, and pushing them harder (e.g. punching) . Interestingly, I tested the beginning of this routine while seated before I stood up, and found that marching was more difficult! This was a wonderfully comprehensive and balanced routine! Your moves are SO imaginative. You manage to take those I've become accustomed to and altered them just enough to make them interesting, novel, and challenging. Thank you!...Anastasia

Always with the greatest pleasure :) Half an hour in the morning when I'm in a hurry and even before breakfast is a lot for me. Nevertheless, I don't put off exercising, because there are always other things to do afterwards. Besides, I am stronger in the morning. When you sit on a chair in the first half of a session, do you lean with your back against the chair? I didn't know when to put the weights down. Whenever I do exercises in the morning, the satisfaction makes me feel better about myself and my physical condition. Thank you very much, Jules for the exercises.💛

I live in a senior community ,we use these classes twice a week and .We like the 30 min classes because many people have medical appts or can t stay longer .Since finding these classes, more people are joining us.We love the variety and I encourage all to put weights, ball ,bands in a bag so we are ready for any exercises you do. My suggestion is to not overthink whether or not to exercise...just make it part of the daily plan so it becomes a habit and part of your routine. I don't think we ever regret exercising...there are endless benefits to how we feel physically and mentally when we finish.💪

Whoa what a workout. I hadn't worked out for over 10 days because I was sick. Yesterday I did a combined 45 min workout with handweights and was so sore last night and today. I found this workout today and it kicked my poototie. Good cardio workout. I'm going to alternate strength training workouts and this series of 30 minute chair exercises for seniors.Thank you so much for this.

It sounds like you were eager to get back to working out after being sick for 10 days:) It's great that you wanted to get back to it, and also quite normal to feel soreness when using weights for the first time again, especially with a longer workout. If I have too long of a period off due to illness, I often do a very light strength workout the first few days back to allow my muscles time to get ready for it again. I hope the soreness is gone now, and congrats for doing another workout to get back into a routine. Your idea of alternating strength and cardio is perfect.

I finished day 1 To 7 on your program from a few years ago will start this more recent program. Thank you. Had trauma injury to hip and have been immobile for 3 months. Adjust some exercises not to irritate the hip but it’s working. You are helping me move forward

Holy coordination mixup! I had to laugh at my lack of coordination, but I found this day one workout to be invigorating and a nice change from walking on thr treadmill4 miles a day. I have lost 60 pounds but wasn't getting toned so I am trying this. I am not sure if this should be instead of my walk or in addition to, but I know I have to decrease my walking because my hip is rebelling. Hubby and I are going to do this daily, and I'm looking forward to that. Thank you.

Just to help you navigate the channel, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate) in both seated and standing workouts, and categorize them all into the playlists. Since your hip is rebelling to walking on the treadmill, I would recommend adding in strength training 2-4 times a week as well if you can. A lot of these seated workouts include strength exercises. Gaining muscle will help you to firm up, while also helping to speed up your metabolism.

I love this workout. I haven't worked out in 2 years and have lost so much strength. At 72 this is the perfect way to get back into it. How does the workouts advance to the next day?

So excited to see a new seated work-out, and a whole series too! I increased the pace on the cardio, and added weights for the strength. Going to finish with a 'leg day' from the strength training series, which I still do five days a week. Thank you so much for all you do, you continue to make such a difference 😊
