This is a great staff. You didn’t specify it had to be college so I’m about to blow up the theory this is the best. The Cleveland browns of the mid 90’s and its not even close. For starters you have the best NFL and college coach ever on the staff with Belichick being the head coach and Saban being d coordinator. Kill Ferentz, Jim Schwartz, Eric Mangini, Pat Hill. You also had some future execs on the staff. Scott Pioli, Ozzie Newsome (dont think he was on staff though, he might have already bumped to front office) Thomas Dimitroff. Pretty sure Josh McDaniels and Nick Caserio were interns same time too. I’m doing this off memory. I think I’m missing a few good ones as well but this list speaks for itself.

Gonna honest with you, K9 carried Sparty this season. Every game Tucker had without him was lackluster. Don't get me wrong, Thorne is a good QB and threw to 2 good WR's in Reed and Nailor, but OL was bad and defense was worse. I'm not gonna say he'll go 6-6 and barely crawl to a bowl, but I also won't say he'll go 10-2 or 11-1 and win the East. Maybe somewhere in the middle. To give you a quick idea of what I'm talking about: MSU is down 30-14 against UM. They'd been passing most of the game before then. I suppose Mel Tucker just gave up and decided to run the ball as much as possible to kill clock, and then K9 put the team on his shoulders and carried them to a comeback win. With a few clutch stops to seal the deal by the now-inspired Sparty defense, Walker clinched for his team a second straight win over the Wolverines, 37-33 As much as this was a bad game by the defense, there's no way Mel Tucker wasn't able to have an offense ready to score on the Buckeyes' terrible defense (Which I believe was one of the worst in school history by the way) This was a bad overall game by the Spartans. Michigan State allowed 49 points before halftime. Yeah. Ouch. Along with this, nearly 600 yards of total offense and six- yes, six- passing touchdowns in that singular half. That's just the defense. As for the offense, it wasn't much better. MSU had less than 100 yards of offense at halftime, only scoring in the 4th quarter when backup QB Kyle McCord threw an interception at the Ohio State 48. MSU capitalized on the short field, and that was about the only thing they capitalized on the whole game. Payton Thorne went 14/36 in this game. That's a 39% completion percentage. Anthony Russo, MSU backup QB, somehow had 2 completions to total for 0 yards. Kenneth Walker only had 6 carries vs. an Ohio State Front Six that could only be described as total ass stink, allowing 4.8 yards per carry in this game. K9 was, however, limited in this game, after being injured due to the sheer weight of carrying the entirety of MSU's program. Mel Tucker is an overrated coach whether you like it or not. He is not worth the contract he was given. He's an 8-4 level coach.
@HarrisHighlights2 жыл бұрын
