Professor Karen, Dr. Carr dropped a serious bread crumb when he stated Dr. King used the art of non-violence as a strategy because it was more potent than violence because Whiteness had all the weapons and military tanks. History has not documented non-violence as a strategy but rather as some spiritual belief. It made me think about Mahatma Ghandi and why he used non-violence, because the British who invaded India had the weapons and the military backings. It is not right the art of non-violence was not seen as a powerful intellectual tactic against an enemy who at the time has the upper hand. Thank you for everything Professor Karen.

I am Nguni and I can tell you Dr Greg Carr is right. I was pleasantly surprised and at the same time saddened to find that there are people from my ethnic group in Mozambique and yet being from the southern part of Zimbabwe was never taught this because of the colonial boundaries drawn up during the colonial partition of Africa. Cry my beloved people. On another topic yes we call God uMlimu which is completely different meaning from the European understanding of God. I could go on

End of Jan, my 73 yr old mother went on a trip to Panama with a group geared toward black people relocating. She really enjoyed herself and decided to stay a extra week. Fast forward to a week ago. She has decided to apply for residency in Panama. One because she liked it there and she felt safe walking the streets by herself. Two incase all hell breaks loose again and other countries close their borders to the US. If you are a resident you can still travel there. My husband and I will go down in August with her to start her paperwork and look at neighborhoods for her and possibly ourselves.

Moreover, Dr. Hunter when I relocated to France, and we invited a classmate of our son to spend his summer holidays in Washington DC with us, we took him to a Black Baptist church in SE. A parishioner got the holy spirit and the youngster became unhinged with fear. He questioned if the people were crazy or stupid. I let him know that just because we lost our "conscious" African languages didn't mean that our subconscious lost those languages.

Dr. Carr is so correct about communicating with sounds. In Jamaica Kincaid’s book “Mr. Potter”, the main character made the sound “Eh Eh” throughout the book. Ebonic-speaking persons would understand that sound with different inflections have different meanings.

At the 16 minute 45 second mark, Professor Hunter reminded me of why my expat life in Asia, 30 years ago started in Taipei and not Hong Kong- in Hong Kong the street signs and billboards were horizontal and Mandarin is vertical. In Taipei the signs were vertical-and this changed my life.

Dr. Carr don't worry about "Master Class." It has a place in the scheme of things. Those classes can help to create serious learners. You're a teacher. You know how it works. Some of our folks have to be entertained in order to sustain their attention; until they develop the intellectual chops to digest in depth content, like you give us every class. When they're finally ready, you & Ms. Hunter have the graduate level classes already developed & available. So wonderful!!! Meantime, we'll keep spreading the word & the (already) serious learners will continue to join the Knubian Community. Carry on and kudos to you both. I love your educational movement! Best thing I gained from the Covid quarentine period. Much love & respect! 👏💯❤
