In-Depth Review: Tudor Black Bay Chrono "Reverse Panda"

Hello, just discovered your no nonsense review and really like it. I have this Tudor reverse panda and it is my favorite among a collection of Omegas, GSs and others. This piece brought me to the realization that dual subdials is by far preferable to the more common 3 dials. I have a 7.5 " wrist and it is perfect for my taste. I had a bb 41 heritage and sold it but do miss it. I put this chrono on the heritage leather strap and wear it much more often then the original bracelet but only because I prefer leather and no other reason. Only only one issue, when I purchased it the winding was stiff and recently I could hear the rotor spinning as I wound it so it is in for repairs. Other then that I love everything about this Tudor.

So glad you enjoy the videos and have this watch as well! The dual sub-dials are much cleaner in my opinion as well, I enjoy the visual symmetry.

@@ChronoPursuithi Sir just saw your review be chance as I’ve got few Tudor’s in my collection 😊 I’m interested in buying the Panda version but only have them on the black strap my question for you Sir is this one do you know if the OEM stainless steel bracelet from the BB Heritage or the GMT fits into this version? I’m asking this because I do have 2 Heritage the burgundy version plus the GMT all with the steel bracelet as I’ve mentioned can you please tell me if you have had tried an OEM steel bracelet ? As this have same 22 mm lugs plus bracelet doesn’t have the T Fit adjustment as my other Tudor Pro which is shame as it’s much better but that I do know it doesn’t fit on first as it’s 20 mm lug size plus I’ve research on aftermarket bracelets like Forstner if I’m not wrong plus they only sell it in US and I’m in Europe! Would appreciate any opinions if you can ! All the best and very nice review I do like the reverse version I’ve got but already had 2 chronographs all black one Hanhart and a Longines all have ETA Valjoux 7750 the longines has a Column wheel version quite old with 3 sub dials as well but it was a gift from my Mother so i don’t want to sell it it’s a beater rough watch by the way ! @@ChronoPursuitby the way about the date change exactly at 00:00 hours shows the movement it’s very well fine tuned my other chronographs do change dates exactly at 00:00 hours as well no COSC certified but very accurate and well done only my Longines needs serviced it’s loosing few seconds per day nothing special at all! @@69fastfurious Interesting question... I just tried swapping the band between my Black Bay Burgundy and my Chrono Reverse Panda and the stainless steel strap (the version with rivets) fits both watches perfectly! I don't believe older heritage models (inluding the Heritage chrono) would fit, unfortunately. I hope this is helpful!

@@ChronoPursuit hi Sir, I've been searching for this situation for few months and the Ad says I doesn't off course! What he wants his 800$ for steel bracelet I've bought my in Tudor BB Burgundy it's the 41 mm case and was only available with the leather distressed strap have to buy an OEM steel bracelet for it cost 800€! and now have already order the Panda Chronograph like yours on a bund leather strap us has I've got a Pepsi Tudor GMT on another Steel bracelet gone make swap one of the steel bracelets for the chrono a d install the leather strap on it! If it fits awesome! Thank you for your help! When I've got the watch (hopefully on Wednesday) I'll informe you Sir 💯👍👍 That's great news if it fits has I've got lot of straps but not interested in spending 800$ again us the deal was awesome that's why I bought it on that configuration 👌

@@seanpat5735 that’s a great price for an excellent condition used piece - you should definitely consider it! I still wear my Tudor weekly and it continues to stand out in my (ever expanding) collection.

I own this exact watch. It’s a terrific watch if you prefer a heavier, large watch. I strongly warn those of you who have wrists below 7.25 inches to shop elsewhere. The primary reason you can find excellent used examples on Chrono 24 is because people with smaller wrists buy one of these and then realize a watch that is close to 200 grams is too much watch for 90% of people. I am just trying to help you from making a costly mistake.

Hey man, great video. I had one of these but reluctantly let it go. Absolutely love the look of it (although would go dateless if I could), but it was just too heavy for me. Really hoping this is on the agenda for Tudor to make a thinner movement to help this one out

It fits better when on the leather strap as can get a comfortable snug fit.

The vintage leather strap is ridiculously comfortable. I have a lot of leather straps, but this is the most supple and flexible by far

I really want this as my first Luxury watch. I’ve had a few sinns in 41mm, but sold them because they looked small on my wrist. For some reason this looks bigger than 41mm I got a 7.5- 8inch wrist depending of Im bulking or not. Do you still think it could work?

It definitely wears bigger than a 41mm - that’s for sure. I have a 7 3/4 wrist and it looks appropriate on my wrist, you should give this a shot next time you visit a Tudor boutique

Tudor or Zenith Chronomaster Original?

That's a tough call - I've always loved the Zenith Chronomaster and appreciate it more as a "grail" piece given the unique architecture of its movement than an everyday Tudor. That being said, I had a special edition Zenith Chronomaster Sport 2 and it spent more time in the shop than on my wrist (I sent it back to zenith and they forgot to put a gear back in after service...), so I am a bit soured on Zeniths at the moment
