So clean and pretty. Old soviet stuff is also well maintained and leaves very good impression. Belarus is doing a good job.

Belarusian Railways for sure! I love Belarus. I lived in Minsk. It's the best city in the world for me but haven't been there for well over ten years.

Belarusian for me. Ive enjoyed the Soviet era architecture of the railway stations. Not only in Belarus but also in Russia.

In the 1990s, when I was a Belarussian state university student, I often traveled this route by Elektrichkas) And from Molodechno to Lida - by diesel train. it was a cheapest way to my hometown from Minsk) Thanks for the video - it reminded me of a carefree life when I was 18 ) It’s a little sad that you didn’t reach Lida..

Belarussian railway for me. Number of train connections per day (for me, only one train daily is not serious railway transport), cleaness, a lot of Stadler FLIRTs as EMU and some kind of similarity with my country (I am from Slovakia) - language/culture similarity, as same a lot of ex-GDR cars still used in Slovakia, but these in BČ are more cleaner...

I'd say Amtrak, in respect of the country with the most fascinating railway history in the world! :)

Since I've only been on Amtrak I really can't say for which one I'd prefer. I would like to try the Canadian railway sometime across that country. Thank you for your great video's, they are very informative.

What speaks against the idea to build a tunnel between Russia and Sakhalin like the Euro Channel. Or what about building a cog railway over Himalaya and sell those types of sleeping cars there?

how many kilometers is from Grodno to Minsk? it would seem that this country, from border to border, can be overcome in a few hours
@aleksandersmirnow21574 жыл бұрын
loland stump To be precise, then 256 on the road, but by train - almost 340. Yes, the train travels slowly, but in some sections it accelerates to 70 km per hour. Faster forbidden by the rules, because the road is very old.

Surely a sleeping car from Belarus would not be compatible with New Zealand's loading gauge?
@viacheslavnovikov16574 жыл бұрын
The wheel bogies can be simply changed to fit the gauge. :-) The width of the carriage may not fit the platform though (if it will be a high one).
