The main issue against Forest seemed to me to be tiredness. Had everyone not looked like they were running in treacle I don’t think we’d of had an issue.

Embarrassing first goal then we slowly got our act together. By the time we were 3-1 up we were fine and dandy !
@undergradtutors9662Ай бұрын
your adjectives going from "embarassing" to "dandy" BRAH! the first goal was because gakpo went to press high when he didn't need to but was trying to follow coach instructions, then tsimikas went high and then van dijk went high (alan shearer analysed this aha) but van dijk shouldn't have gone forward when tsimikas did but should have held the back line. however the goal can be explained by Arne Slot's instructions trying to be followed but not done right on this occasion

We failed our first low block test with forest, but i believe we will get better against low block team.. the obvious issue was the whole team couldn't pass n receive the ball properly in that game.. if we can fix that against any upcoming low block teams, i believe we can win those games..

I just think the players were tired mentally and physically, because the errors were decision making. Right decisions at wrong times and fully wrong decisions at times
@johnconnick5308Ай бұрын
Against Forest it was straight after an international break and we always seem to suffer after a international break my question to Josh is how many Liverpool players were on international duty? You look at the South American players only arrived back in Liverpool in the very early hours of Thursday morning and the question is, are Liverpool having to many players from the first team go on to international duty? We have to be in the top 3 clubs in the Premier League that in my opinion have the most players go to represent their countries and they are all travelling all around the world and even under Klopp same thing was happening and sometimes we had 12.30pm kick off times straight after the international break and do you think Josh that these international friendlies should be stopped, because we are playing to many games along with other top clubs in the same position especially the top 3 clubs and for me I feel for the players and now we have 2 Champion’s League in the January transfer market which is just truly bonkers, I just want to know your thoughts on this? As much as coming back from Milan was amazing it’s a completely different situation when you concede in the 75th min… we still knew we had the whole game in front of us when we conceded early against Milan

The big difference between conceding the goals was the time. Huge difference between 70 odd minutes and 3 minutes.

the new Liverpool is wide open actually!! This is the mentality of Dutch coaches!! Most goals are repeated in the Netherlands.

Why don't we bring Salah to play more centrally if we are playing 325 against a low block? Having Bradley as a right winger and even chiesa in the future so you could have Szoboszlai and Salah behind the front 3 or even better Mac and Salah. Salah is goood against low blocks he's very skilfull
@ragerider6283Ай бұрын
Interesting vid as ever but let's be clear, it's not really related. It was a good win against Milan away but they were poor & open so this has told us nothing about how Slot will approach the next low block team.

@junioradult6219Ай бұрын

@sandisongwenya4667Ай бұрын
Players had more time to rest and play together in training again. Forest we made bad decisions in the game and kept making the bad decisions and I think that was due to rustiness and tiredness. Another mistake was we kept going through Salah and he was having a bad bad game, then he stayed on too.
@magicbuddha7243Ай бұрын
Disagreed. Watch Slot's explanation this year during a Dutch football show called Rondo, probably in March. There he educates how to deal with teams that play like Forest. The main difference is that the players recovered physically. Slot has emphasized after the game against ManUnited that the real test would come after the international break as it was only game 3. Remember that Slot has a certain football philosophy, but he is foremost a tactician. Don't ever underestimate that the very defensive tactics applied by a good squad is a very strong lock to break. This is why Inter Milan succeeded in stopping ManCity from scoring yesterday.
@MRSNYPA786Ай бұрын
Milan played right into our hands with being wide open. Personally, I think Slot is going to struggle with low block opponents. When we play the likes of Palace, Everton, Leicester. That's when we'll know whether we've learnt lessons, because those teams will almost definitely be copying Forests gameplan. I think this team is crying out for a Coutinho esque type player. We don't have an attacking mid who can take on a few players and play a defence splitting pass. Man City have 3 in De Bruyne, Foden and Silva, Arsenal have Odegard, we don't have one, and Slots slow build up play against the low block is crying out for that type of attacking mid
