Podcast is Called : ASN Humans Are Space Orcs , HFY and other stories
--------------
This Story is Classified as HFY or Humanity Feck, Yea , but what does the Mean?
-------------
HFY is a story/series that takes a “human element” in either humanity or an “other” (race/species or object) that exists in a “setting” (future or other world/universe) with varying levels of culture, technology, society and history that help show in some shape or form the potential good or bad for humanity’s race/culture. In These stories Humans are often referred to as Human, Humanity, Deathworlder, Hellwolder in reference to the human planet of origin , Earth. This planet is seen by most of the universe as a place where only death and chaos can survive.
-------------
Taken from the FAQ of the r/HFY subreddit.
Humans Are Space Orcs (HASO) or Humans Are (Fantasy Race) Are used as a guide when writing.
In these Stories we normally View humans like the other races view orcs in a Fantasy Novel. We (Humans) share the same characteristics and personalities as orcs. Humans are normally treated as the outsiders and barbarians. Humans tend to be underestimated as well in these stories. Unlike Humanity Feck Yea , these don't always put a positive spin on humans\humanity sometimes looking at the darker side of human and humanity from the perspective of aliens.

I feel his pain. Imagine going into the universe with high hopes, only to find out that humans-of all things, HUMANS-are the closest to a morally upstanding race? Humans: "Do you guys realize how badly you have to screw up to make us this jaded? I mean, seriously, have you seen our history? We expected so much more from you, we hated ourselves-still do-for what we've done to each other, and we so wanted to see species older than us be the example we needed; something to aspire to. "But you make us look like decent people in comparison. Just... think about that. Also, from now on we only accept cash or hard goods as payment, no credit or loans. All free-trade and free-travel treaties are null and void. Trespassers will be shot and/or barbecued. "Just stay the feck away from us. Seriously."

Morality is a luxury. Its not necessary for survival. And humanity has many moral codes all existing simultaneously. That we could potentially be a rarity in that regard is fairly likely.

Because humans never get up to those kinds of things. Oh wait, it was all imagined by a human.

Mostly because this generation has a warped view of what morality looks like and likes black and whites, but only when they get to draw the lines.

What is breathtaking and more than a little concerning is the implication that all those raids were conducted without any aliens finding out beforehand (as no one knew why the meeting was being called).

@@geoshark12 "quite sad" I find a bit of humor in it. Where some look to another and hope to see a god/perfect being only to be met with disappointment. Then you look back to ancient history and realize how flawed most of the gods were even then.

i say stuff like this when i play games in MMOs because i expect you to be better than me. i have a quarter loss of brain function... i expect you to be better at thinking ahead... im often disappointed when you fail to do so. i stop playing the game when i lose hope of finding better... i retreat into solo games again... because most people prove to me that you arent capable of thinking ahead. or properly building things like defenses to leave no gaps for others to exploit. "but i do it too" then they try to exploit a supposed weakness in the defenses only to realize its a kill box. bait. to which i state. "and what did you think i put that there for? the stupid dont think much. i dont like stupid. they took from me my ability to speak as a child... i have spent a large amount of time attempting to regain my ability to speak coherently. only to find that even if i were to speak coherently you wouldnt understand it." i then just pack up and leave. i have morbid clinical depression because of this.

This writer is 100% from the USA and is 100% okay with prisoners in the USA essentially being slaves. People from the USA, and especially people from The South with a Conservative ideology will harp on and on about slavery being bad to virtue signal their own love for the Confederacy. There's no other part in the world that's this fixated on slavery since we could solve it in a mature way.
