Mr Davis has earned a Nobel Peace prize in my opinion

Went from being beaten as a child for the colour of his skin to walking a klanswoman down the aisle. What a great story of forgiveness and retribution.

It is surprising to have seen only 55 views on a video conversing about the problems of racism and hate crimes compared to a video of a man standing infront of a dead body in Japan with more then 10 million views. Loving how special these KZbin algorithms work to making people learn important life changing things...

I just hope the klansman actually will rethink his racism instead of just seeing Daryl as "one of the good ones"

At the very least, he is willing to understand that there are good people and bad people. It's a step in the right direction.

You'll be glad to know Daryl is responsible for over 200 deconversions from the Klu Klux Klan.

I think if that klansman actually thought that that story wouldn't be even told cause it doesn't serve the purpose

Words and patience get the job done where flame throwers and guns fail. Contrary to what many think, though, words and patience are much more difficult tools to master than any weapon. Especially patience. Daryl Davis is clearly a master of that noble art. We should all learn from him!

Daryl is so Great!! He is a blessing for all of us whatever our country. I'll go back to the US next spring, probabably somewhere in a southern state. I'd love to meet him and other "rebels". I am a rebel myself ... I love the US, Somewhere, somehow I feel home there! So long guys See you soon :-)))

Maybe if Mr Davis would sit down with Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, he could get them to understand they are the problem today.

Let me get this right. In your view the problem with the US it's not the people doing the racism or the policymakers that avoid or block any possibility of change, it's the people fighting the racism in a way that you perceive as not correct or maybe bad. Help me understand how you arrive at this conclusion. I assure you that Daryl Davis would never say that Al Sharpton is the issue with the US today, he would never say that protests are wrong. He is saying that an open dialogue is the best way to deescalate bad situations and bring some change to society, but this is not directly opposed to protest. Protest is against those in power, those that can make big and fast changes to society, dialogue is with your neighbor to help him understand your point of view and make him understand why you as a human deserve the same rights as him.
