Again Dante , awesome job !!! It's not just luck , you put in the effort of tuning / research / testing different setups and it shows !! I tested again last Sat with mine ( turf ) with a new short pack 6400mah 140c in the rear position , it is 109g less than the full pack in my video . Also up the pinion from 16t to a 17t and it is even faster now on the straight but still does perfect on the infield . Also , laid my rear shocks all the way down . For 4wd SCT on my track ,this thing is a weapon !!!! Point and shoot !!!! Wish you lived up here , you'd have a blast at our facility !!! BTW , ...... new purchase this coming weekend ,..... Tekno EB48 2.1 coming up to run on our 1/8 dirt track !!

Thank you and congrats in advance for the new ebuggy! I can only imagine the SL on turf. It could definitely feel like it's on rails. Your turf track is pretty big.. seems very close to the same size as Coral Springs RC Track. I wonder if an 18t would be even better. I never tried 16t but when I went from 17t to 18t, it still had plenty of torque for the infield but I gained a lot on the straight. But ya, you sure do have an rc paradise up there. So many choices! I'll be checking out your videos to stay up to date. Lol I already told my buddy Luis who has an SL also, that we need to go up there sometime soon for a club race!

Hey Dante , no video , but last weekend was our Turf Wars race , first race on turf with my 410sl , first win ! Sound familiar !! LOL However , only 2 of us in 4wd SC , but the guy I raced against is a well known fast guy from our track , not easy win , our times were very close ! His fastest qual 17 / 5:03 , mine 17 / 5:01 !!! Main I did another 17 / 5:01 , he had couple bobbles . In 2wd SC I Tq'd and first also ! I'm going to make another vid of the current layout and 410sl running some laps for YT !!! You got it right , driver and set up , but tires play even bigger part , my 4th qualifier on went Pin Points from Prisms , dropped from 17 / 5:10 to the 17 / 5:01 !!

@@sprc3352 Wow, that's awesome! Congrats! In your first video with the SL, I was thinking how consistent your line is. Super fast! I'm really looking forward to racing with you someday but not really lol because you'll probably win! We had our final race this past Sunday. Just got the footage and going to start editing today. I was up against two very fast (and heavy) Losi 3.0's and the wind was blowing just enough to make my truck super tipsy. The usual 'planted' feel was gone and one wrong move, I was either spinning out or bobbling around. Even with new tires and pretty low ride height (20mm) my truck felt like it was floating above the track. During one of the qualifiers, a storm cloud was passing by and the wind kicked up really hard. Lol the marshals were yelling to the pit area to secure the tents! In that wind, my truck was horrible. I couldn't jump anything or it would float away. It actually made me want my heavy 410.3 back! Hopefully more 4wd SCT's show up at your track. I heard a rumor about Losi coming out with a new SCT.

@@in4bliss Thanks ! There are usually 3 other guys with 4wd SC that show up , but not this time . Yes , I try to always keep a tight / consistent line while trying to go fast and keep it under control . My STD DEV for these runs were .40's . This truck is pretty dialed in on our turf track , still will try diff things to make better . I really love it on this turf !!! The fastest lap from a Mod Stadium truck was 16.7's , I pulled 16.9's with a SCT !!! Oh , BTW , my EB48 2.1 is done !!!! Just have to paint the body !!! Can't wait to try this out on the dirt track , video also !!!! Next weekend . No ,wouldn't want to race you on your track , I'd feel slow !!!!

How does a person decide what motor turn/ kv to buy for modified racing?

Best thing for this is to talk to the people at the track you'll be going to. In general though, the higher kv smaller size motors like 3300 up to 4600 go well with 2s (electric 4wd short course). The larger motors with lower kv 1800 to 2200 usually go with 4s 1/8 ebuggies. For this lightweight 410SL, a 5.5T to 6.5T on 2s would work. But ya, it really depends on the class and the track. I think I won 9 or 10 races in a row with my 410SL on a 6.5T Reedy on 2s.

Thank you! The truck weight with electronics is 1806 grams (no tires or body). Just in case you need more weight info: Losi TLR pre-cut body is 236 grams. 6500mAh 2s shorty is 232 grams. Tires & wheels 428 grams.

Pure BS that Tekno doesn't include all these upgrades in the kit. Other manufactures do!! It's ridiculous to spend $450 on a kit and have to sink another $200+ to make it durable. Yes, the platform is fast but not durable as a kit.

I hear ya there.. It's a very expensive kit and should be near bulletproof for $450. I heard a lot about rear bulkheads breaking. Something tells me the rear bumper mod I did kept some pressure off it. I'm still running the original bulkhead and had many races with some really bad crashes.
