Inaugurating the NEW STOVE at Sarah's House

Ok all - here is Part 2 as promised. With my favorite helper Eli, we made the first meal on the new ZLINE stove. Incredible and fun. It was Saw Mill gravy and Biscuits along with Hash Browns on the griddle. Everyone loved it - and it also became Josephines last meal in the States before leaving for home in Kenya. ENJOY!

I am from Illinois and my Grandmother made biscuits and gravy every Sunday after church. She also made her own biscuits and grape jelly. She saved her bacon grease and used in gravy. Delicious !! So enjoyed Josephine’s visit! Great job on pantry!!

He said he had to flip it upside down because otherwise it was too close to the flame and the flame kept going out because there was air in the gas line-once that air gets worked out they can use it without flipping upside down.

The griddle is up side down. If you place it on the griddle burner with the legs down the flame will not go out. I love everything about your new house. 🏠 And your Mom and Dad are wonderful people 💕Love watching your videos ❤️. Congratulations on you new home.

Yes! UPSIDE DOWN! Be careful when you flip it over….all the fat from cooking the potatoes will be in contact with the flames. Clean it really well!!!

Sawmill gravy is made from the grease /meat drippings and has no meat in it. This while delicious is sausage gravy (a big fav in our house my 10 year old makes it every weekend while the rest of us make the biscuits and eggs.) Also the griddle is upside-down that's why it wouldn't work with the flame.

Papa be sure to check Sarah’s instructions on self cleaning oven. Some require you to remove racks before cleaning. Don’t ask me how I know 😮

Papa told Eli he was making him nervous holding the plate with one hand, then, HE proceeded to fill the plate and carry it to the table with one hand 😂 We call that sausage gravy and biscuits down South. YUM! 😋

Flip the friddle.. those 4 "towers" are legs to stand it higher up ( y'all probably figured that out.) My momma had a large gas stove with a griddle in the center and she loved it! I want a gas stove but am content with my electric one for now maybe one day.
