i was struggling with my board alignment in the plane, confusing it with the board calibration! this video really helped me understanding how to calibrate it properly to have it aligned and nose up few degrees! many thanks!!

Awesome, I am about to (weather permitting) maiden a wing and I just realised what I had been doing wrong in my setup of what is level.....I need to switch off the auto level mode while in angle mode while setting up pitch angle!
@Painless3604 жыл бұрын
Best of luck with the maiden!
@fishmanmtb4 жыл бұрын
You can set up the pitch level on a pot on you tx. So in flight you can use the board level indicator and fine tune it in the air.

I'm back here again after a new inav build so thank you!! This is such a silly way to manage this and a step backwards from trim in traditional RC. IMO, just let me re-zero the FC pitch in flight somehow? Maybe part of the auto-trim? I have to plug in to the inav FC so many damn times I broke the usb port.
@Painless3604 ай бұрын
Please see the modern INAV builds on the channel. It's a super easy process and dials in the servos for manual flight... Happy flying!

Always watch the box move in iNav. It should be e acrky the same as in real life. See my iNav builds for more details.. Best of luck

Thank you for all the videos! When in Angle mode my first build seems to be twisting counter to the prop as you mention. Should I counter this unwanted roll in the same manner as we addressed the pitch in Sensor and Board Alignment?
@Painless3603 жыл бұрын
No. ANGLE mode should be taking care of that. I would check level too. Use the autotrim to get rid of it for manual mode flying. Best of luck

Matek F405-WSE with iNAV: My plane is acting strange. The 3D plane in Inav is backwards (when I roll the plane right, the right wing tip goes up instead of down, but, the ailerons are doing what they are meant to do (correcting the right way). How do I fix this in iNAV so that the 3D image understands that when I roll right, the right wing should go down and not up? I've tried everything. Currently, the YAW under COnfig. is set to 180, but if I change that to 0, then the autolevel (on the ailerons) is backwards and the 3D image in iNAV becomes correct.

Hi, I am unable to arm my TBS CAIP. 2 After turning on autolaunch function, getting a message saying roll pitch not centered. How do i solve this? Please help. Thank you

Is this still the correct procedure for iNav5? There is a message saying "Roll & Pitch board orientation is available only in the CLI. Do not use it to trim the airplane for the level flight! Use Fixed Wing Level Trim on the PID tuning tab under Mechanics instead (fw_level_pitch_trim)" First; when I do this the Pitch value in the Setup tab does not change. Second; How would one change roll if needed?
@Painless3602 жыл бұрын
Yep, see the INAV 5.0 series... best of luck

I think you should include MAG Alignment if you do another of these. I had the issue where the displayed model was rotating if I changed the pitch or the roll. I had to play with all the settings until I found the one that didn't cause this, and also showed 0 degrees for actual north. I suspect this may have caused my plane to roll unexpectedly in the maiden flight.
@Painless3603 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the idea. That is already covered in a number of INAV videos and I have a few coming this autumn on it too.. Stay tuned!

Great vid, ta. Pls advise - can I maiden a scratch-built talon-like plane by hand-launching it in Angle mode? Most vids suggest to do it in Manual. If yes to Angle, can I maiden it with Autolaunch! if I am confident about the model, C.G. and iNav settings..?

What do you do when you raise the nose and get negative values?
@Painless3604 жыл бұрын
Put in whatever number (positive or negative) to get it to read as zero pitch... As shown in the video.. Check out the latest iNav for beginners 2020 series. Happy flying

I couldn't get my servo horns vertical on the spline with 1500 input. Is it ok to adjust the midpoint in the outputs tab so that they are vertical before adjusting the deflection and trimming? If so, do you have to adjust the endpoints too? edit: lol nevermind, I just watched your sneak peak of the new inav series and you covered it ;)

Big help! Can you do the servo auto trim before the fc board alignment?

I don't. Then the servo trim is set to give you that level flight.. Happy flying

How do you determine cruise throttle?
@Painless3603 жыл бұрын
It depends on the model and what you want. I usually go off the current draw and speed I want. 50% throttle is a place to start. See my video on flying longer for more information.. Best of luck

What about level calibration? Does that not take in to account any nose up attitudes de she calibration is done?
@woogieman024 жыл бұрын
The planes may fly differently than how the board is set. You may have the board level to the world.....but the plane may fly level with a little bit up of elevator. This is why the auto trim is helpful, as every plane is different

Nice explanation, but😛 in the config tab you have to put: in "board alighnment" pitch the number you have read in 1st page (4.6) negative to get 0.00 in config tab that was not explained by you👍 or i mist it?
