What we have here is a Trinitarian who understands his own doctrine thoroughly talking to a Oneness believer who does not thoroughly understand Oneness. The Trinitarian is to be commended for understanding what he believes. This highlights the need for Oneness churches to teach our doctrines diligently until our believers understand the ins and outs, the comings and goings; otherwise, Oneness believers may be persuaded to reject true doctrine and re-embrace the old Roman false doctrine of the Trinity.

I agree. However, this man doesn't understand his own doctrine as you stated since his own doctrine is a lie from hell and not the word of God. He sees it the way he sees it is all and takes scripture out of context--because he has to. I was a oneness believer BEFORE I ever met God. (God CAN'T need help from anyone and still be God. No 2nd "person" or 3rd). But I agree pastors NEED to teach what the Bible says for salvation and the devil comes as an ANGEL of light and will use his "ministers" to spread false doctrine. Lord bless you brother!

@cashcreators before I ever became a oneness Christian as a teenager/adult. I knew there was one God, because nothing else made any sense to me. I read the Bible as a kid and I never seen or read anything about Their being more then one God. I never seen any proof of it, I heard preachers and people talk about trinity, so I started to study it. after years of study. I never seen in a holy Bible where Jesus ever said he was more then one. I never seen where God the spirit ever said he was more then one God or that there was counsel of alternate gods in heaven. He simply says he robed himself in flesh and became fully God and fully man at the same time. I think our logic as human beings is a little misleading and we chose to see God as more then what he really is. Just because a spirit became flesh doesn't make it more then still then just one. I recently became a father, that doesn't make me more then one man. It just gives me an additional tittle. So no I am a father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew. So now I have 5 titles but still one person and my name is johnny. God is what he is, Jesus is who he is and his titles are father, son, holyghost, elohim, I AM, el shadi, Abba, the prince of peace, the everlasting father. Ect. A whole bunch titles BUT STILL ONE GOD-JESUS. ONENESS IS THE ONLY TRUE DOCTRINE.

Great summary! While all Modalists are Monarchian, and most Monarchians are Modalistic in their understanding of the oneness of God, we do need to do a better job of expressing the scripturally revealed truth that the one God who is one Spirit made himself and became one man to redeem us and the world to himself and teaching this to the body of Christ. The presentation in this video is _almost_ a strawman argument against Oneness in that neither of these persons really understand what historic Monarchianism teaches, even as most professed believers in the oneness of God have a modalistic understanding rather than a relational understating of the Father revealed in the Son in the personhood of our Lord Jesus Christ. Note that Monarchianism, coming from the Greek terms 'mon', meaning numerically "one", and 'arche', meaning "estate", is the belief that God has "one estate", not three, be they 'persons' or otherwise, in that God is one person being a living soul comprised of spirit and soul and body in the one person of our Lord Jesus Christ, with each having their own "mind", this why Jesus as the Son in his soul prayed to the Father, the divine Spirit being his human spirit, the primary complaint of Trinitarians against Modalism, which is a valid complaint given the deficiency of Modalism in explaining the relational language used in the scriptures. Part of the problem with Trinitarianism is their anti-scriptural use of the term 'person' ('personae', Latin; 'prespon', Greek; 'nephesh', Hebrew)-they don't use the term as the Spirit inspired its usage in the scriptures in any of the tongues of men. The terms 'person' and 'persons' is used in the scriptures 112 times in the biblical language of the English tongue, and 109 of those times refers to humans who are a living soul comprised of spirit and soul and body, even as Paul prayed that we be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:22). The three times that it is used of God, it is used only in the singular (Job 13:7-8, Hebrews 1:1-3, 2 Corinthians 2:10)-not a small point that is oft overlooked and not fully appreciated by Trinitarians. If we use the term 'person' as it used in the scriptures, we see that God, who is not only a Spirit but one Spirit who is one Father and one God (1 Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 2:18, 4:12, Ephesians 4:4-6) who has revealed himself in the manifestation of the Godhead in the flesh as the Son (John 1:1-4, 14, 18, Colossians 2:9, Romans 1:20, Acts 17:29), which is part of the reason why the prophet Isaiah declared that of the titles by which the Messiah would be known is the "everlasting Father" (Isaiah 9:6) in that Jesus, being a person who is very God and very man, is the Father in the flesh as the Son of God. Recall that a ghost, being a spirit of a person that has left the body of flesh in death, God in his Spirit as the Holy Ghost-the holy Spirit of God and of promise poured out on all flesh-is the divine Spirit that is the human spirit of the person of our Lord Jesus Christ, made the Word to be flesh and as the one Spirit entered into that body of flesh as the human spirit formed a living soul, which person in his soul as a man prayed to his spirit being the Spirit as his Father (Matthew 26:39, 42). The Holy Ghost is the one divine Spirit as the human spirit of Jesus in his full creative and resurrection power as the redeemer of man and the world; and Jesus, being the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8), was formed in the Word that was with God and was God in the beginning by the conception of the Holy _Ghost_ and not merely the holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18-23), having created all things (Colossians 1:12-16) as the Father revealed in the Son (John 14:7-11). Trinitarians eisegete the term 'person' into Matthew 28:19 and 1 John 5:7, which rather than being Trinitarian proof texts are two of the strongest texts that disprove both the Trinitarian and Modalistic errors. That God in his Spirit as the spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ is the Father revealed in the Son, being a living soul made a quickening spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45), is a foundational truth that reveals what it means for us having received the promise of the Father in the Holy Ghost given as having received the power to become sons of God by believing on his name (John 1:12-13). As those who believe in the Oneness of God, not merely that there is one God but that God is one, we need to do a better job of teaching the fullness of the sound doctrine of the scriptures regarding how the scriptures speak as they have been inspired. I don't think that either Trinitarianism nor Modalism properly so called and understood would stand if only we would use the language of the scriptures as it is used in the scriptures, avoiding both Trinitarianism and Modalism errors in expounding the Monarchian nature of God revealed in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. I'm encouraged that increasingly more Monarchians are rejecting the use of the terms 'Modalism' and 'Modalist' as it relates to the sound doctrine of the scriptures, it being used by some a pejorative that doesn't accurately describe what we believe or why we believe it. _Edit: Corrected typos_

This guy who is interviewing this other guy in the video does not understand Joel 2:32 as Peter and Paul taught in Acts and Epistle Letter. Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. We call on the name of the Lord Jesus in water baptism to be saved. Acts 22:16And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Acts 19:5¶When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

The issue with the trinity is that you have a Catholic created God invented in 381 AD by the 3 Cappodiceans who said how they made it thusly. "In thinking upon the trinity, we came upon the trinity." You invented then. As Tertullian mentions in 200 AD but it takes another 181 years to be made. He was an heretic Arian, and said the majority of Christians were monothiests or oneness. Amazingly, he slanders them; much like trithiests slander monothiests today. Nothing new under the sun.

@@aurangonzalez2284 In essence, the trinity came from Platonic knowledge and was adopted through Catholicism and modified by them through many centuries. The Holy Spirit teaches and reveals all truth. Nowhere do we find what the trinity teaches, God the son, eternal son and God the holy spirit or the concept of the trinity. It declares God to be the holy one some fifty times, and God was in Christ or manifested in the flesh. God bless truth seekers.

@@CalledChosenandFaithful Please explain to me how the Trinity came from platonic thought? To think such a thing is to either misunderstand Platonism or the ontological Trinity. The two are incompatible. In Platonism, the highest form of the good could never consider 3 distinctions of personal relation within itself, nor is it even personal. This claim is absurd, and i'd be interested to see an article attempting to prove otherwise. You didn't refuted the Trinity biblically nor proved otherwise in your comment. I'd take heed lest you fall my friend, examining the Scriptures as the noble Bereans(Acts17), and carefully consider this matter. No, we imagine not "in the name of he father", we imagine only Jesus. Jesus is god and he had to become a son through Mary to save us, that doesnt mean hes multiple people - if he is more than one, you are admitting to multiple gods and it says word for word there is only he. Trinities were a pegan tradition and christians coudlnt get pegans to convert so they painted god in a different light for their(The pegans) sanctification sake and now the word of god is forever tainted, because people dont understand how important context is in the Bible.

Amen! I'm thankful that I've been born of water and of the Spirit, which comes from God alone. What does this mean? Well, why was Nicodemus confused? Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?” (v9) Jesus seemed surprised that he was confused, and thought he should have not been confused: Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? (v10) The answer to what the verse you quoted means, is not that he should have been baptized to be saved, on the contrary, it is solely the work of God by virtue of the New Covenant, though faith, which leads us to obeying New Covenant works such as its sign of baptism: "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you. 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules." (Eze 36:25-27). Hope this is helpful, may God bless you in your continual learning the Scriptures. -Jeremy

I never understood why "reformed" baptists only go back to the 1600's for their doctrine. Why not go back to the first century church, before the Greeks philosophies confused the revelation of the Godhead with their Zeus - Hercules concept, and before the Catholics settled on tritheism in the 3rd and 4th centuries. Ephesians 2:9 tells us that the entire Godhead was in Jesus bodily. The body that was born of a woman. So Jesus is not a member of the Godhead, the Godhead is in Jesus. One throne. Not two thrones and a bird cage.

These sources you're quoting from are wrong.Just 10 minutes of study/research would have you to see this. though the Word is not used, there are plenty of texts used that show the Trinitarian nature of God before the word was even coined in the 2nd century by Tertullian. The Trinity is a term that describes the NT understand of God and His nature. For Ex. Ignatius(110AD) Said Jesus Christ was, 'Before the ages.. with the Father and appeared at the end of time" [May6:1] Also you mentioned Justin Martyr, who was early 2nd century, he describes the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit has numerically distinct, yet believed in the 1 Almighty God, Yahweh. [Dial 128:4] Additionally, What you've quoted about baptism in the name of the LORD is false as well. For example, the Didache(1-2nd century) instructs baptism to be done "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." See what Tertullian says, explicitly about a unipersonal god in 200ad. “After his resurrection he promises in a pledge to his disciples that he will send them the promise of his Father; and lastly, he commands them to baptize into the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, not into a unipersonal God” (Against Praxeas 26 [A.D. 216]). No it was false. No other source than God's is valid. The Didache was created anywhere from 180 AD. It says baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus and the titles. Confusion like the unscriptural trinity. Justin martyr was a Catholuc philosopher and Arian. He still had Jesus name in the midst of his baptism formula. However, satanic trinitarians like the devil, use one verse out of context namely a questionable Matthew 28:19 for their wrongly made tiyle baptismal formula. Even Catholicism said it was wrong not to baptize thrice into the trinity and hetesy not to. Also, Matthew baptized in Jesus name in Acts 2:38-42. Peter did baptism in it with Phillip in Acts 8:12-16; 10:36-47. And Paul himself was baptized in Jesus name in Acts 22:16, did baptism in Jesus name in Acts 19:5; 18:8; Romans 6:3-5; Galatians 3:27 in the name alone. Oneness people aren't Christians, why did he say the Oneness man is?. Nowhere does the Biblical Greek say water baptism saves, remits sins, washes sins away, regenerates, puts people into the body of Christ, or is needed for salvation. The translators have misled Biblically ignorant people with it. Nowhere does the Biblical Greek say people were baptized in the name of Jesus. Oneness people aren't baptized, and that's a Biblical fact, but that's immaterial because they aren't saved, as the Bible says about those who deny the trinity.

When they say there is 3 persons in one God they are twisting scripture because that is not the intention of the Gospel message of Jesus Christ , when Jesus is giving the message he is not looking that we find 3 persons in God but he is looking that we are One spirit and one mind with his Father , that’s it, Trinity dogma gives other message that Jesus didn’t preach
@tonosegovia9797
@tonosegovia9797 Ай бұрын
If you search how dogma trinity came to be you find it’s human thinking adding to the word of God , because Jesus said go a preach the gospel and trinitarians say Go and preach the gospel BUT those who doesn’t support and believe that there are 3 persons in God are not saved so salvation is not by faith in Jesus ? Also you have to believe in 3 persons to be saved ? As you can see it’s a sectarian belief they put the dogma higher than the preaching of the gospel

You do not understand what Oneness believes. You are going off what someone else has told you about it. Just like everyone else does. The Trinity is a man made doctrine ! Formed in 325 AD at the Council of Nicaea. The disciples went and did exactly what Jesus said to do which is baptize in Jesus Name. You need understanding of the scripture. 1John 5:7-8 was an add on scripture that arrived around 1500. Not in the original Greek Text of the Bible. Go study how the translation of the bible has been biasly translated by trinitarians. The original texts never called the Holy Ghost a He. Absolute truth. Go study for yourself

What you are saying between the 8th and 9th minute ("the Son is not the Father") contradicts the Word of God. Jesus says He is the Father: John 14:8-9 and this is confirmed in many other scriptures.. for example Isaiah 9:6
@RepentAndBelieveMedia
@RepentAndBelieveMedia 9 күн бұрын
Hey thanks for reaching out man. It doesn't contradict the Bible because that is precisely what the Bible teaches. John 14:8-9 does not teach that Jesus IS the Father, as to mean they are the same in identity. Such an idea must be read into the text. You only have to read the next verse to see that there is a clear distinction between the two, as was clearly stated in the first verse of the first chapter of this Gospel (John 1:1,2,3). Isa. 9:6 is a clear statement of Jesus being God, "The Father everlasting." Meaning, he is the God and source of eternity and the Father of creation/Israel (Isa. 63:16, Jn.14:18). This is very different from the revelation of the person of the Son of God in the New Testament. The Son is Sent from the Father(Jn16:28), in the beginning with the Father(1Jn.1:2), sharing the glorify of the Father before the ages began(Jn17:5). There is a clear distinction of persons within the Godhead (1Jn.5:7, 2Cor.13:14). This all has been believed by the Christian church since the apostles. To believe in a Jesus who is not both God and distinct from the Father is to worship a false Christ and Jesus whom the Church has anathematized from the early stages of church history. Trinitarians incorrectly interpret John chapter 1. The son was not in the beginning with God. The Word was in the beginning with God. The Word which included sonship was the plan of God from the beginning. The Word was in the beginning with God. Not the son. The son had a beginning. He was born of an earthly mother, Mary. It was part of the fulfillment of God’s plan from the beginning. The word teaches us that the Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world. But that did not happen until Golgotha when Jesus was crucified on a cross. God dwells in eternity. He calls those things that are not as though they were. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…..” John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭3‬, ‭14‬ ‭KJVAE. When the Word was made flesh is when there was a son. He was not the eternal Son. He was the begotten son. The son, who was flesh, had a beginning. This day have I begotten thee. Psalm‬ ‭2‬:‭7‬ ‭KJVAE‬‬ ‭‭‬‬ Theirs is no such thing as an eternal son. The Father is eternal because God is a spirit. He is the eternal spirit. At the incarnation God (the Father) united with flesh (the son of God) in the man Christ Jesus. Jesus was the Father, He was the son, and He was and is the Spirit. That’s why we baptize in the name of Jesus Christ.

My understanding "The original form of words was into the name of JESUS CHRIST or LORD JESUS. Baptism into the Trinity was a later development." -Scribner's Dictionary of the Bible, pg 241 "Christian baptism was administered using the words, in the name of Jesus." - Hastings Encyclopedia of Religion, Vol 2, pg 377 "The New Testament knows only the baptism in the name of Jesus." - Schaff-Herzog Religious Encyclopedia, Volume 1, pg 430 {10:48.1} The modern baptism service recites the phrase: "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" (KJV - Matthew 28:19), which does not appear in any of the ancient Hebrew texts of Matthew's Gospel, nor was it an instruction that was ever carried out by the apostles. Early in the fourth. contame of the Fails, anted Mathem and rine on ties, a in te i can i a and the other apostles, who had heard the Messiah's original command, were faithful to carry out has instructions explicitly. They always baptized in Yeshua's name (Acts 2:38, 8:16, 10:48, 19:5, 22: 16) The who follow the modern texts of Matthew rarely, if ever, baptize in the actual names of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - but rather repeat just the slogan and omit the names altogether. When was baptism changed? へ The baptismal formula was changed from the name of JESUS CHRIST to the words Father, Son, & Holy Ghost by the Catholic Church in the second century. Everywhere in the oldest sources it states that baptism took place in the name of Jesus Christ. I have a video on the Trinity, check that out to see the historical proof of it. Please watch that and consider the evidence, both Biblically and historically. I disagree with the teaching that baptism was in the literal name of Jesus. We do not actually have any evidence of that until later. Have you personally looked at BRITANNICA ENCYCLOPEDIA in that edition? I challenge you to look at it and see where they get their information. It's merely an assertion, and Oneness Pentecostals use it as if it's legitimate. -

You're a tritheist and try so hard to deny it. And you still try to go and shove that false man made doctrine to true monotheistic christians, why? You can't even explain it, nobody can. Even if you type on chatGPT "what is the most confusing doctrine in the world?" It will literally mention "the doctrine of the christian trinity". The fact is you are a tritheist who tries so hard to fit 3 self-conscious, co eternal, co equal, co existent persons into ONE God, you don't even have the certainty who'll you'll see when you die, because you believe in three gods. I worship one God, when i pray i pray to one God, when i die i will see the One true God (Jesus), God is a jealous God and does not share his glory with no one.
