Next ISRO missions (major ones): 1, Aditya L1 (Mission to study sun) 2, XPoSat2 (Xray polarimatry satellite for astronomy study) 3, Chandrayaan 4 (another landing on moon's south pole, this time with japan). 4, Shukrayaan 1 (Landing mission to vanus) 5, Mangalyaan 2 (Another mission to mars.) 6, Gaganyaan 1 (send indian astronauts to space to few days and back safely) 7, Indian Space Station building project. (We are not going to join the international space station program. We are going to build our own space station.)

Forget budget of Hollywood movies like Interstellar and Oppenheimer, the moon mission budget was just Rs. 615 crore or 75 million which is way less than budget of the much touted Adipurush which was made at Rs 700 crores. It is really remarkable. 🙂 Secondly contrary to popular belief, the main objective of the mission is to garner global attention and to highlight India's cost effective soft landing on moon's most difficult terrains where there is maximum hope of frozen water and minerals. Attaining foreign investments, collaborations and buyer demand is the primary objective. Already ISRO is an expert in sending other countries satellites regularly into orbit and providing rocket technology to nations whose space program is in infancy. The success of this mission will further popularize ISRO's capabilities.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the space agency of the Government of India, headquartered in Bengaluru (Bangalore), Karnataka, India. Chandrayaan 1 was orbitor+impactor. It was 100% successful. Chandrayaan 2 was orbitor+lander+rover. It was only partially successful. Orbitor is still working perfectly after 4 years. Lander had a crash landing and was destroyed along with the rover that it was carrying. Chandrayaan 3 was lander+rover, and would use, if needed, Chandrayaan 2 's orbitor. It is 100% successful. I hope Chandrayaan 4 is about returning the rover back to Earth, and Chandrayaan 5 is about landing Indian astronauts on the surface of the moon and bringing them back to Earth safely.
