Germans have the capacity to be competing with the United States and Russia in space but strangely choose to be a subject. At this rate an African and South American country will make it to the moon with Germans proudly sending congratulatory messages.

We have joined the Artemis project during the state visit of our Prime Minister to you country in this June, on an invitation from your President Joe Biden. He is also coming to India within the next 15 days to join the G-20 meeting, and again in December this year on a state visit. Long live Indo-American relationship.

Moon's south pole is very difficult to land, it's difficult to even get into that orbit. Where US, Russia, China, Japan, Israel never landed n were unsuccessful.. India did it. That too with budget less than many Bollywood movies. It's a big achievement. That shows India's technological prowess. ! Back in 2013-14 India was also first country to have successful Mars mission in its ' first ' attempt. 8yrs before China.

I must address the EMOTION question posed by the host. India is for the first time, feeling positive about its place in the league of nations, since its independence. India is regaining confidence in its own civilisational ethos and its importance. We have a young population, yes, but we also have a very energized, optimistic, patriotic, positive population that wants to feel like a winner. We know we have struggles, and problems, and challenges, and it means a lot to us 1.4 billion of us to have every small victory be savoured. We are Indians, we're naturally emotional people, and we extend that towards everybody in the world. On the other hand, India receives way too much negative reporting from the outside, and every little negative is blown up beyond a deserving limit, and when we have some achievement to blow up ourselves, we will bloody well blow our trumpet just to counter that negativity! That said, our victory will be humanity's victory as well, like our PM said.
@Kik230

My first time in 🇮🇳 was year 1999. I spent 6 months in India in 1999-2000 (Millenium). I flew alone from Helsinki to Delhi and traveled from Delhi to Goa (in 1999). I remember when I sent postcards to Finland and thought in them Why is India underestimated? Only fools underestimate India. India is a developing country and it is developing rapidly. This should be understood and India should be supported in it. Many in Finland didn't believe what I said, but I did because I saw India in 1999 for the first time and I fell in love with it❤️💞! I saw so so much Love, so much Peace, that when i came back i start to cry when i came back first time from India in Helsinki airport. I have many pictures from my first trip to India❤️❤️❤️ (and many times after that). I appreciate your moon landing and i like to say Congratulations to all India people very much and allso I want to say: India, you are Love❤️❤️❤️! Greetings and Proud hugs with Peace from Finland💞🇫🇮.

A very explicit fact is that India is a super power in space and IT industry.. they've proven it several times when they reached Mars in their first attempt alongwith carrying 104 satellites of various countries that's really remarkable, and also Indian ISRO discovered water on the lunar south pole.. India has power to shoot down any satellite in Low earth orbit ..great achievement and now their stepping on the southern pole of moon made history..❤❤ Love you guys

I could not control my subtle tears for 2 hours. I am emotional. And the lady is wrong on something touching the moon after half a century. Let me tell it, world over cannot or at least fail to properly understand the emotions of the people of a certain civilization who have resisted and restrained the invasions, colonization and plunder for about 800 long years. Why is that so? Because no one else in the world could resist it and embraced what came on to them or even if they had resisted it's not in the memory anymore. A country of such people making scientific advancements gives us a sense of pride and emotions. Thanks if you are reading my comment. People should check out how space missions started in India from taking the first satellite on bullock cart and rocket on a bicycle.

I totally agree except that part of the world CAN understand! It´s the experience of many tiny nations who had been ruled by big nations for a long time. I study Latvian and have Latvian friends. Latvians never had their own country before 1918, they waited 700 years for it. They love ice hockey like Indians love cricket. They played it for 100 years without even getting to the world semi-finals. This year, they won the bronze medal. Latvia was crying with joy, there were celebrations in the streets and the president announced an improptu state holiday. Huge kudos to all countries who overcome centuries of obstacles!

@@KingDavid1979 The statement "Look on the tombstone of Von Braun! It says; psalm 19-1 (my rocket hit the firmament) 😂 😂😂😂😂 read the Bible!" appears to be a humorous and fictional scenario that involves the tombstone of Wernher von Braun, a prominent rocket scientist and engineer who played a key role in the development of the V-2 rocket during World War II and later contributed to the United States' space program, including the Apollo missions. However, the scenario you mentioned is not based on historical fact, and there is no such inscription on Wernher von Braun's tombstone. Additionally, the reference to "psalm 19-1 (my rocket hit the firmament)" appears to be a playful interpretation of Psalm 19:1 from the Bible. Psalm 19:1 (NIV) reads: "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." This verse is often interpreted as acknowledging the beauty and wonder of the natural world as evidence of a divine creator. In the context of your statement, it seems to be used humorously to suggest that von Braun's rocket hitting the firmament (a term often used in ancient cosmology to refer to the solid dome separating Earth from the heavens) is a playful twist on the notion of heavenly declaration. It's important to note that this scenario is fictional and not based on actual historical events or inscriptions. The reference to Psalm 19:1 is used in a lighthearted and humorous way in this context.

Why are we so emotional about it.. 1) Many countries made fun of us. They feel that a developing country like us shouldn't be investing in space exploration. The landing was a 'touche' moment 2) The failure of chandryaan 2 was heartbreaking. People were invested in that too. The success of CH3 tell is such a brilliant success stories 3) Any achievement is India is celebrated. It brings people together. Yes, we are an emotional lot. 4) Positioning of India as a strong science and technology hub.

As a neighbour Pakistani, Congratulations and welldone. Great achievement. I hope this motivates some constructive energy to Pakistan's space program and research in General. Admittedly, India is far ahead of us and I hope this great milestone achievement by ISRO can introduce some positive competitive research mindset in our country.
