You better get used to this. This is what it means to be a world power. The world starts caring about your nation's current situation - both victories and defeats, crises and wonders. It is not the job of journalism to worship your nation. Its their job to inform, ask questions, be skeptical and even point to critiques which are being made by others. Remember…. Nothing shames a Brit more than the success of India. They get reminded about “aid” whenever they see India’s successful space program. It’s very revealing how much shame they feel when they see India’s succees (against their own failures and gradual progression into irrelevance). So they need this kind of rhetoric about “aid” to diminish Indian’s pride and happiness. It doesn’t matter that Indian gov has stopped taking aid. UK sends money to their NGOs and calls it “aid”.

I told them to send their annual 'aid' to my bank account and I'll build them a successful space program for them. Then they can feel less jealous.😅

Two things- no one in India celebrated that Russia did not land. Its about scientific achievement and advancement for humanity, more than for India. So shame on media that passive aggressively smirks that Russia did not launch. Like, seriously, grow up media. Secondly, this was some mavaerick science rather than conventional budget-heavy showmanship, something India has always done well. Instead of any such fresh perspective, the iciing on this old cake of 'but you are still poor' argument, is that lady's final comment on why not focus on your poverty. USA has conventionally had homeless issues, drug addicts and an epidemic of dull-minded gen z and yet no one asked you all to shut down NASA and focus on your backyard, did they? The audacity of western media to be so brazenly stupid always stumps me.

The result of achieving this feat within a comparatively low budget is because of making intelligent, calculated decisions. And example includes using gravity assistance from the earth. Trade-off is time but savings include fuel and weight . Anchor needs to do more work.

It is ridiculous of these media channels to imply India' latest success on moon as if starting moon race! India's moon mission of modest start, peaceful and not to militarise it. Success of C3 is demonstration of our Scientists' maturing capabilities in this Segment. Further, India is also a Artmis accord signee, by which India also shares its findings with others. If at all you care, talk about those militarising outerspace and not signees of Space accords.
