It is humbling to see how our great country has evolved, slowly and steadily - few things are still the same, a lot has changed. This Independence day, ask yourself how are you contributing to India's story? As one of the speakers in the video says, it is very simple, you don't have to do anything extraordinary. Do what you are doing to the best of your ability, keep your surroundings clean, be strong and righteous, you will be helping India be great. A very warm Independence day to all of us. Jai Hind. I do enough by being a honest citizen; by doing my job to the best of my ability; by working 8 hours a day and by not complaining about not having enough ration or sugar. Ur understanding is very superficial . There are theocracies that are progressive. Sweden is governed by Church. Atheist communist states are a total failure. You have a very narrow , wrong Nehruvian idea of everything. What religion you are talking about belongs to 5% people. 95% Hindus at least find no contradiction or enmity between religion and democracy and science. All the elements of so called revolution in society can well be traced to religion and culture also if you read things in detail. And it was Congress that MADE no code bills for muslims and there is ZERO separation of radical Islam from politics and society in Islamic countries and even in muslims of India. It was Rajiv Gandhi who overturned the 1986 Supreme court secular decision to uphold women rights to allow Mullahs to take decision. It is the Mullas and Imams that are hindrance to separation of secular life from Islam. To some extent even the pastors Seperatiion of faith from society is seen maximum among Hindus. Take Halaal meat for example. It is religious thing shoved down the throat of people of other faiths that too in secular democracy

My grandfather was 105 when he died in 2015. Throughout his life, he was known for his charity and his people centric attitude. He was a sarpanch. I graduated from IIIT BH in 2021 and I think we have really come very far. Is it even more distant than we thought we’d? Yes. Is it enough and shall we be complacent? Definitely No. India and Indians have a long way to go and we need to keep marching forward with a pace unbeknownst to Mankind because it’s high time that the world knows our true capabilities and how Indians look when they get serious about anything. The clarity of thought and confidence in their voice of those youngsters is absolutely amazing! And the reason I believe is.. then education was exclusive and people took it very very seriously. Nowadays it's cheap and widely available which is a very good thing, but people take it for granted. A larger portion of the population has become ignorant, arrogant, conservative and lazy. All they do is get into a rat race and become an unskilled labour and then boast about their education which is not useful at all.
