Mk2 should be given at least a rudimentary DAS At least 3 IR sensors (including the IRST) using which it can triangulate targets without using the radar Since DAS is in simultaneous development for the AMCA, the trickle down to Tejas-2 should be feasible provided the engine & computing power is supportive Also EOTS Or FLIR incorporated targeting pod L-band LEVCON radar array will also aid stealth hunting (but will further increase the power requirement) How we need that 110-20 kN engine for the Mk2 too to counter Chinese stealth 😟

Tejas composite content should be increased to 70% (specially the new multimaterial layered sandwich type, RAS type, in the higher reflecting areas) This will improve the thrust to weight &/or spare more electrical power + reduce RCS Will also make the aircraft little costlier though But worth the money in the absence of stealth aircraft Also little things like the upper surface of the inlet extended right upto the wing edge (to further eliminate vortex at the inlets)

Tejas mk 2 will be cheaper than AMCA. AMCA will be for specialised operations. Tejas Mk2 will be the workhorse in an open war scenario where numbers matter.

Tejas stil in paper model it has not proven any fights how it possible. IAF still believe HAL produce Tejas mk2 replace aging fleet shorter duration of time. IAF buying rafale is more suitable for this situation and right choice both borders.

I know India will not listen to me, so I can say what it will really work for India against China, you will not listen to me anyway, now, the India military is mainly for showing, with buying most advanced weapons they can get, they do not check if they can really work, compare to China and north korea, before China had not much money, what China did was just building big guns, the artillery, cost less but very effective, so in the Iraq Iran war, China sold thousand of them to both sides, in the testing ground, one month for Iran, the next month for Iraq, that made some money, in 1969 border war with Soviet Union, Soviet used T 62 tanks, China had no anti tank missile could destroy it at the time, the way of defense was again used artillery, cheap but powerful and effective, that stopped Soviet Unions further invasion. Now India only wants to show off with useless in name advanced weapons, never check they really fit India's needs.
