I used to play with 20 ping or less a few months ago and the stormer HVM was genuinely my favourite vehicle to play. Fast forward to now, I'm playing with 180-250 ping (temporarily) and I'd rather dunk my balls in vats of molten, red hot metal and acid before even touching the HVM with a stick.
@JetS_Gamer20 сағат бұрын
This is gonna be a huge relief for me as my average ping is around 300-350 it makes the HVM only useful against Heli's and Fixed wing aircraft head-on, and then not always registering a hit, and then you get drones... so actually having something with Proxy missiles that works, and having a greater range of 10km at 10.3 will be nice

Fun fact: The 9M33M3 is supposed to have 15km range. The one modeled in game is the M2 variant. I imagine gaijin is doing this to prevent backlash against these vehicles because it'd basically be giving Russia and Germany a second super long range SAM system that outranges the ADATS once again. Either they're going to change the name down the line to 9M33M2 or they're going to give it the proper range when someone submits a "bug report". I don't personally care about the Osa itself, I think it's cool and a nice addition thet UK and Italy both needed a lot, but it makes you wonder why the ADATS is still 11.7 then. It's platform is unstabilised, the missiles are not tandem, and they have janky SAM flight properties that make them awkward to use in ATGM roles. It's got the killing potential of a TOW-2A without the tandem warhead to break ERA and the APDS only really works vs Japan. Even so, 10km SAMs at 10.3 is fucking nuts in itself.

The stats on the missile currently are the stats of the older variants of the 9m33."

Considering F-15E/Su-34 being able to dump literally tones of precision bombs from like 30-40kms away, how is any SPAA currently in-game supposed to counter this? Even Pantsir, which is the only SPAA to have 20km+ range, fades when put against the new stuff. We kinda need ECM/Sam sites in games.

i still don't quite understand the purpose of the ammo box. if spaa can place it down to reload itself, why not remove the box and just make spaa reload itself when it runs out of ammo
@BingusgingusКүн бұрын
that would be a little too much. spaa runs out of ammo fast for the most part currently, but giving them unlimited ammo anywhere would be too much. this is a good balance and requires you to actually do something
@BingusgingusКүн бұрын
not that i don't think spaa needs a buff, it totally does, but i'd rather they get buffed in a way that makes them more viable to use as SPAA and NOT ADD AP ROUNDS TO ALL OF THEM THAT FORCE THEM UP IN BR
@JetS_Gamer20 сағат бұрын
When you take a closer look at the ammo box it makes a bit more sense for balance reasons, 1. you have to stay stationary with the ammo box to replenish, 2. it can only replenish a limited amount of ammo, 3. The fact that it also takes 2mins to replenish the ability to place the crate, 4. the fact you can physically destroy the ammo box, as to prevent someone from reloading, 5. It's more realistic, since this is for vehicles in ground realistic battles, so it makes sense that irl, you'd end up having to get a resupply from a physical source, in-game being the ammo box. As having SPAA reload by itself would make it the same system as arcade battles, which doesn't fit the realistic battle mode, it also would mean you don't have to stay stationary, and you replenish automatically the moment you run out of ammo, and that its unlimited ammo, unlike the limited amount you get with the ammo box. On the surface level you may not see it making sense, but with a closer look it makes alot more sense in terms of balance and realism.

Your not wrong but Britains been lacking in the AA department for a while now, for instance the Stormer AD filled in the 10.0 BR for short range AA Because the Stormer HMV can’t hit anything that close and while you could up tier the Marksman or ZA-35 they’d be lacking when it comes to further away targets and the stormer was never a guarantee for the further targets as I’ve seen in my time of use the missile does either: A, faze though the enemy. B, Do next to no damage to the enemy. And or C miss by mare inches because it’s a contact missile and not proxy.
@FlensostensVredeКүн бұрын
