I wouldn't call Crystal Skull a great movie, but I never thought it was terrible either. In a way it's like comparing the three Star Wars prequels George Lucas made to the stuff that Disney's been putting out. Crystal Skull and the Star Wars prequels felt like the high school teacher giving a C-minus or a D-plus to the kid that's usually at the top of the class. "Look, this is still passing work, and coming from some of your peers this would be acceptable. But I've seen what you've been able to do in the past, and I know you are capable of producing work that's so much better than this. What happened?"
