The more i hear and see this song performed, the more i love it . This was an excellent performance from the Kami intro . To the way Moa and Momo come strutting across the stage and Su rising up like a Goddess to that look, Su gives right at the end 😁 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼

"Kagerou" is one of my favorite songs from Baby Metal and Kami West does a great job on the intro. You might want to look into the first iteration of the song, which went by "Tattoo" and was played widely in their 2018 Tour. There is a remastered video from the 2018 Rock Am Ring concert that goes by "Babymetal - Tattoo (RaR) (Audio Remaster v2)", where Su does it solo in her leather elf warrior stage costume. Other songs with great intros are "Yava" from Fox Festival 2017, "Awadama Fever", also at Fox Festival 2017, "Catch Me If You Can" from Budokan Black Night in 2014 and although it's not an intro, the guitar duel from "Akatsuki", also at Budokan Black Night in 2014. That gives you some research to do, lol. nother great reaction guys !!!!!!!

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。Your pronunciation of the title is correct. "Kagerou" is a word having 4 syllables like Ka-ge-ro-u [kɑ･gé･ro･ʊ]. I witnessed this very performance at the venue. I was in bliss.😍 Kamis are amazing musicians with virtuosity. Chris, CJ, Anthony, Clint and 2 other bassists (Ryan & Matt) have been dedicating their energy to BABYMETAL's international activities (including Japan) long and extensive enough to be called as "our" band. They are amazing knights to protect our queen and princesses. (Of course, I love and respect original Kamis. But they are currently and mainly focusing on their own respective activities. So I went to see various concerts, soLi, Kari Band etc. where I can see BOH, Isao and other Japanese Kamis.) Su is singing about jealousy against someone using a metaphor of heat haze, "Kagerou". The hash emotion is shimmering from her inner blaze, and it seems to me that her emotion will not erupt but turn into magma deep down. It's scary😱 . This is the song featuring BM's heavy, dark, seductive and sultry side. The girls have grown up into ladies without doubt.

I had a small party with my grand kinds on 23rd in advance and I went to see a movie "Heavier Trip" yesterday and found our three girls are actresses now 😄. After the movie, I visited Foxgod bar in Shinjuku and met BABYMETAL fans from Germany, Singapore, Italy, Vietnam, Philippines and Russia (Japan as well, of course) and celebrated Christmas with them.

This was originally a SuMetal solo song called "Tattoo" instead of Kagerou. SuMetal performing it solo while free style dancing aka no planned choreography at Rock Am Ring in 2018 is honestly one of my favorite performances of Babymetal and my personal favorite of this song. Once again a thoughtful, entertaining reaction to the wonderful Babymetal. Part of your discussion took my mind to a different space then the meaning of the song. When you were talking about the marketing of the brand (my words). Every level of the BM experience is polished to perfection. The Kami's, song writing, stage presentation and it's all epic. I took that as an appreciation as to just how skilled BM are as performers. With ALL the goinsg on around them. Well a lesser artist would just get lost in the mix. Everything the ladies do they've worked their butts off to achieve. Their singing, choreography, stage presence the confidence they project. Not to mention the unique chemistry and charismatic stage presence. To the doubters out there-not you guys for sure. Babymetal are what they are and they're great at it. Thanks again gentlemen..

As for the song title 'Kagerou,' I think Japanese people first recall this kanji characters, '陽炎', which is 'heat haze', or 'mirage' in Japanese as you talked about. To me, with this only, it is a very fascinating or imaginative song title. Reading the lyrics (though, as always with the lyrics of the other songs, they are very vague) and looking at the choreography, I think it fits that meaning. However, it is also possible to guess another Kanji characters, the insect '蜉蝣, or 蜻蛉'. It is said to be a kind of fleeting insects whose adult life is only a few days. Perhaps I read too much into it, but it may be a metaphor for the 'fragility of love'. Thak you from Japan.

Heat Haze : it is lovers jealousy and she is singing about finding out about a lover and calling them out. This song is an onomatopoeia a play on words that sound like the movement of the song, the dance and the haze of the heat of Jealousy. Japanese love play on words in general (hence Babymetal-death / Babymetal-desu : that latter meaning "We are babymetal"

It is understandably, IG we consider how japanese was created. The zravel over Land was difficult, so it was hard to get from one village ro the next. The main line of contact were chinese Tradesmen who came by boat. And when the japanese people finally met their Dialekte were difficult to understand, but they all used the same sign language. This is the reason why japanese has so many Homophobie. It was in reality not one language but a family of languages., so that people who speak japanese try to confirm what they arecreally talking about by signing the correct japanese signs on the table.

🍑 ⚡ 💕 / 🌡 🔥 "The flames of jealousy are flickering" - Kagerou One of my favorites off the 'Metal Galaxy' album. Su and Moa have talked about presenting a more adult version of "Kawaii Metal" as they get older. They often mention 'Elevator Girl', but I think this song is a better example. They've also mentioned that it took a while to get used to the more aggressive Metal sound of their Western Kami Band. IMO, this is the best rocker they've given Su since 'Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!'. I've loved this one ever since it was a Su-metal solo song called 'Tattoo' on the 2018 tour. The choreography is great to watch. Both Su's freestyling in the original version, and the living heat wave with Su, Moa and Momoko that it is now. Of course most folks are pretty happy to see "The Kamis From the West" with solos.

Nice reaction. Babymetal loves to leave their lyrics up to the audience to decide what it means to themselves. Makes their music even more fun. I often imagined that at some point after Yui left somebody asked them if they asked them if they wanted to end Babymetal. Crazy was their reaction. They lost Yui, they lost Mikikio the guitarist and one of the drummers lost a brother all around that same time. They weren't going to lose Babymetal as well. He haze just for asking that question. A long time ago Moa made public promise to always support Su. Moa has been true to her word. Which leads me to believe in the end it was up to Su if Babymetal continued on. And it wouldn't be the first time either. When they were all part of Sakura Gakuin. The age for the group was 10 to 15. Su being a few years older than Yui and Moa would be leaving it first. Babymetal was still a subunit of Sakura Gakuin at that time. Usually after leaving the artist would go on to other projects of their own. With Babymetal growing in popularity Su had decided to stay with Babymetal. They broke off from Sakura Gakuin shortly after that. But that could have been the end of Babymetal way back then. These ladies have gone through a lot over the years. The bond between Su and Moa is extraordinary. Even Su has said no one understand the bond between them. These days I think Momoko might be the person who does. Maybe a big part of why she was chosen to become part of Babymetal. In my head anyway. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

We didn't actually pause as many times as you see here. We had to re-edit it this way as the video was getting blocked by the copyright owners. The additional cuts (and additional pauses of the MV) are what helped the video to get approved. Unfortunately, that is how KZbin and Copyright rules work and there is nothing we can do about that. Sometimes (there is no consistency from one video to another with this), it simply a decision of either releasing an episode or cancelling it altogether. We put more work into an episode like this (due to the re-edits), so we prefer to release them and hope that people understand. 🤷 If it was up to us, we wouldn't pause music video at all.
