Industrial tool & cutter grinder fad on YouTube is over but I use mine as always

A source of entertainment for me is watching the fads that the US internet machinist idiots buying particular equipment in droves in effort to come up with content only for the machine not to be used thereafter
The cutter grinder is one whereas the potential operator has a considerable learning curve to overcome on a machine that can implant a piece of grinding wheel in your head. The best advice I have is use the machine for a variety of grinding task such as a simple precisely fit wrench for an expensive no longer produced lathe chuck and an example of something easy to grind get used to the machine or just stay in that groove. Why a Cinci #2 and not a Cinci Monoset or Denver Astro clone?

Those are different machines for special purpose of radius grinding. I am looking to add similar "P&W OK" machine, a little more compact than a Monoset, less costly off the radar machine for the purpose they were intended.

Still time to add the OSHA appproved self ejecting spring Don, lol, remember those days. smh Never had the opportunity to work in the cutter grinder dept of the first die shop I served at. They were always busy, versatile machine for sure. I'm one of the Few, the Proud subscribers to your channel where something is always learned.

I was surprised at the cost of new chuck wrenches, around $100! I did not feel too bad spending an hour to repair one with the grinder, thanks

Yes, I really disturbed things moving the machines around but everything is staying level, I put the little drill press on my sink hole. I was able to observe and learn from a local plastic mold maker after basic instruction at school, also a few others that adapted this basic tool sharpener to the machine work they needed to do. I have the basic array of carbide insert tooling I had used in my hydraulics shop years for this Axelson to move metal and it does not disappoint, When it comes to getting the most accuracy the cutter grinder is there for the factory fresh edge on a razor sharp finish tool like in the next video. I would start grinding the simple things to get used to the machine, do spiral flutes later.
