I have never been against Mr Penske but the way that they did the end of the race last year and the way they've already cheated with the push to pass I am so upset😊 in the series we want more ovals formal formula 1 has taken over in America with three races

Thank you Stef for mentioning Michael Cannon at Foyt. Getting rather tired of Penske drivers talking about how all their hard work over the past 12 months has finally paid off, and not one mention of their Foyt alliance all month!!

Exactly and that alliance with Foyt and most notably with Cannon now at Foyt being the reason they were able to lock out the front row.

I saw Will Power in an interview talk about how the alliance with Foyt was helping them.

The Penske guys are not hiding that alliance with Foyt, but only Power mentions it as a reason. Other people in the paddock however are very much noticing it. It is the Cannon factor. He had the secret sauce the Penske boys needed for qualifying. But it is telling all the Hondas are quicker under race conditions. Qualifying fast isn't winning

If you think that Ed Carpenter's win in the Freedom 100 was not controversial than you never talked to Ron Hemelgarn or Cory Witherall. Durning the rain delay the Foyt crew that prepared Carpenters car reprogrammed the rev limiter because they had noticed they never got into the official race rev limiter because it had been set higher than the rules called for. The second day they were running 20 RPM higher than anyone else. Cory and Ron were extremely upset and Ed even fessed up to the rev limiter adjustment in an interview on the Bob and Tom Show the next day.

@@marklittle8805 In Indylite drafting will cause the cars to speed up and go into the rev limiter. That will cause the engine to cut out for a period of time and the car will fall back. The teams usually set their 'soft' limiter to keep the car from going into the official 'hard' rev limiter. Indylite gets to set the 'hard' limiter before the race and if they set the hard limiter a little high the cars can run in traffic better and draft and pass more. In the case of the Freedom 100 this was just what they did. They were not planning on the overnight rain delay and one team took advantage of the overnight to tweak the 'soft' limiter to take advantage and that was why, with cars so even Carpenter was able to nearly lap the field to about 75 miles.
