Infp here! Everything true-the good, bad and the ugly! My friend gets insulted? I turn into a little ninja within seconds. Need to defend -wether friend wants it or not! Must! Apologize to my car whenever i get the wrong gear(stick driving) and it makes that nasty sound! Plan 100 things on a good day, full of enthusiasm but have to cancel everything 2 days later (and apologize) bc i realize this involves far to many ppl! I think infp are very loyal, loving girlfriends but i also think we can be hard to handle and getting on our boyfriend's nerves quite a lot! Maybe just stay with the infp dog??? Need to think about this idea now..for hours...days...! Could you do a vid on which types are good matches? Thanks for the infp video ans SORRY for my english😉❣

@Mia Smith That does sound like me. So I would say he could be infj. One of the best ways what I know to check it are: - how much friends does he have (and is he really close to them? Since infj have very few friends, and we tend to be super close with them) - if there is a social gathering (like a party), does he at first not want to go, but when he is there, he doesn’t want to leave even though he stays quite awkward and a bit silent. - infjs also tend to have deep and meaningful talks, usually about how they feel. They only do it when they trust someone a lot. Also they will always put others on the first place. And try to let you talk About your worries and fears, we tend to be natural therapists. - normally we are very silent and seem very introverted. But with close friends or people we trust, we tend to be more extroverts than a normal extrovert. We will keep talking all the time, smile, laugh, have fun and show our own emotions. - the last thing is the most useful if he is an empath as well. Does he know how you feel, even though he even doesn’t look at you or hear you talk?

As an INFP, Everyone thinks I'm happy and emotionally stable so they come to me for advice, to which I am able to give actually good advice. But no I am not as happy and emotionally stable as you think I am and for whatever reason, I suck at giving advice to myself so I just suffer in silence because I'm too scared to open up but at the same time I tell a lot of people really personal things but the truth is they aren't that personal to me and actually double as a cover so people don't know the things I'm really worried about. I'm just damn good at not letting it show brother. Edit: Just want to say I'm glad that this little... rant? Vent? Could resonate with so many people! However, I just want to be sure that nobody leaves this comment with a sour taste in their mouth. Being an INFP is great! I mean this comment in itself was just me pouring out my heart a bit and seeing if people could relate, I'm glad some of you can! I read the other day that we INFPs are inherently on the spectrum for BPD by our very nature, due to our sensitivity. How awesome is that? Meanwhile, we live in a world ignorant to psychology, and rampant with the worst kind of projection, and full of people willing to tell you what you want to hear in order to use your care and warmth to fill a void within themselves. INFPs: Psychology needs to be your favorite thing in the world so you can learn to read people, and so you can cope better with the understanding that people are messed up and untrustworthy due largely to emotional repression. This is pathologically passed on in our culture, and most cultures, in how we neglect a child's emotional development by suppressing expressions of negative emotion in favor of them doing what we want, meeting our needs and expectations, and conformity. In fact, that emotional repression and lack of psychological growth is the fundamental cause of all that's wrong in the world. Hatred and war can only come from a place of emotional repression.

It can be done. I've been married for 30 years to my ESTJ. You just have to be more terrified of being alone, adrift, unloved, and unaccepted for the rest of your life than you are terrified of the challenges of finding a mate. You have NO idea how fearful I was of making the wrong choice. I put a LOT of thought into what I really needed to be safe and whole before I seriously dated. Insane rationality driven by paranoia. I worked hard to figure out what I needed instead of what I wanted. Big difference. I first met my guy three days after I figured it out and six weeks later I realized that THIS man really was MY guy. Took me another seven weeks of very awkward (mostly fruitless) flirtation to get his attention. In the end I was so frustrated with his obliviousness that this overcame my own feelings of shame (for being an awkward idiot) and made me more blunt and forward than I'd ever been in my life. The cool thing is that this set a tone with the entire relationship. I've been safe (hell, it's necessary) to be clear with what I want from day one. Once he knows, I get it. (If he can. I've had to understand his limitations and only ask for things he's able to provide. I'm not getting heart-felt poetry, but he does have it on his schedule to bring me flowers on the first Saturday of every month.)

I've discovered that I need four soulmates. There is no one person who can be all things for me and that's okay. First, my husband. Sex and security. Stability. He brings order to my chaos. He centers and grounds me. He accepts me the way I am and just asks that I accept him, too. Second, my super-duper ISFJ-A best friend. She is so understanding, patient, and unconditional in her love. She also brings out my protective streak because she's SO damn sweet and when somebody steps on her tail I want to eat their face. That gives me the shameless strength of a tiger. And then she goes 'Awww!! Good kitty!' and pets my head and makes me feel like a hero. And when I'm an idiot she never holds a grudge. Third, my second BFF who's also a TOTAL introvert. We can go for months without communicating and both know that everything is really okay between us and that the other is just as attached as ever. But when I need her or she needs me, the other comes running. And fourth, my daughter who knows me better than anyone on the planet. She enjoys following my mind down the rabbit hole and she's sharp enough to really understand what I'm trying to communicate. I think that, in many ways, she's the only person on the planet who really knows me well.

I'm infj. I'm 45 and have only recently found this out. I could have used this info 30 yrs ago instead of wondering why I was a bit 'off' all these years! I married an infp, just learned that too, but he is not emotionally healthy. He's a great person, no doubt. But the self loathing and guilt complex got old over the years. Its unhealthy for me. The good points are that I had his full attention and loyalty and time. He's just awkward and it was impossible for us to have any real mutual friends. He's super brilliant, but super socially awkward. He is still awkward towards me. I felt like we couldn't really get close bc of this. I'm with an estp now, ik ik. Its been a bit tough but we've been willing to tough it out together. We've known and loved each other since high school. I guess my point is that I believe infp could def work for the infj and be great, depending on their mental and emotional health.
