Those meal packs are actually a great idea when you are travelling, indeed! I love taking a place with a kitchen when I go on holidays, it's so nice to cook at home for a few days and check out the countries' supermarkets, to kind of live there for a short time and not just feel like a tourist

If you're still in Korea and can find it, try that Kombucha but with peach-flavor. I promise you won't regret it. The peach seems to be fizzier than the other flavors though so be careful to avoid the volcano-action when you add it to your water.

I had a spam, egg, tomato and pickles sandwich last night, it was perfect! I hadn't eaten much that day and it was so yummy! I've got this Polish chili sauce, its lid is very open and it's made with carolina reapers! I put a dash in my butter chicken yesterday and it was quite spicy!

Korea is doing a much better job of putting English names on packaging. Nothing was like that in the early 2000s. I think there was "some" 10ish years ago. Can't remember fully and I used to shop at the smaller stores since it was close by my apartment.

I always wonder what do they do to plastics once it has finished the number of times it can be recycled? Sure, they have great recycling facilities, but most plastics can only go through the process about 7 times.. then it goes to landfills where they never decompose. That supermarket is great and giant but it is also my first time to see the reality that our groceries are filled with trash too? Wild😂 It is just my wild bewilderment. I mean no hate. ❤❤❤❤

Yess.. as an Indian, I have never bought veggies & fruits wrapped in plastic.. everything is really fresh from farms( max 1-2 after harvesting, we get it in our markets, unlike other countries)

Born and raised in Seoul and currently residing in the states. Plastic use in South Korea is undoubtedly worrying especially with the pandemic and the delivery culture that Koreans tend to be so proud of. Although actual separate collection occurs at a greater level (about above 80%) due to its strict separate collection policies than other nations, the amount of plastic that can actually be "recycled" is a different story. I'd say it relates to the complicated recycling system and lack of infrastructure, as well as lack of understanding and advertisement.
