Aside from being an overall master technician, his trills are OUTSTANDING....so fast and even on ANY finger pair.

Very interesting piece. Not an emotional barn-burner...but clever with a lot of nuance that needs to be listened to several dozen times to start appreciating.

I don't think I had ever heard it before this year's Chopin competition, but after hearing several people performing it has been added to my favorite Chopin list, right alongside barcarolle and the ballades.

True, and also the Chopin Sonata #1 among others. And it's hard to find anybody that plays them convincingly. Even with pianists that are known to specialize in interpreting a particular composer, you see they don't play all pieces from that composer well.

@@adrianopiano5551 Okay. I've never learned this piece. There's this pianist named Adam Neiman who had this great performance of this rondo on KZbin, but I can't find it anymore. I wonder if I try to upload my copy of it onto my YT channel, will they ban it on grounds of copyright violation?

@@zrytabania7460 Alright. One can find real treasures on YT at times, the trouble is, videos don't always stay on YT forever. There's this one relatively fast-tempo (lasts about 4 minutes or less) synthesizer version of Bach's Sheep May Graze Safely that I encountered back around maybe 2012 that I regret not having downloaded. I can't find it anymore, and I found it to be best version of that piece I've ever heard so far!
