Injen Intake Install on BMW 335i

The
intake fits 2012-2017 BMW 335i(F30), 2012-2016 BMW 435i(F32), 2014-2017 BMW
M235i(F22), and the 2014-2017 BMW M2(F87). Essentially any model with the
N55 engine.

you shouldnt get a check engine light on bro. try lookin at the codes to see what the issue is. also make sure everything was put on correctly and its not loose

Were you able to put back that cover on the electric panel box behind heat shield of the intake ?

How was your fitment? Mine SUCKS. Although this is a very inexpensive intake compared to others. Love the turbo spool sound...

sorry for late response. youtube notifications dont seem to pop up .so it makes it harder to respond. the fitment was not to bad . litte bit of work. but it was fun.... yeah sometimes fitment for each car is not the same . each car and or part is never the same too

I have a dumb question but I just installed mine and while driving it it makes this suction noise. I don’t mind the noise just want to make sure it’s normal. Thanks for the video! It was extremely helpful!

yes, with cold air intakes you here the air suction noise A LOT more than stock that’s mostly the reason for a cai is for noise over the “performance” increase but it’s a good supporting mod for more mods down the road

Does yours whistle when opening up the throttle driving? Not turbo spool but like whistling

this was a customers car and it has been a while. each car is different. though remember since you have more air being able to go in ,it is possible that it can whistle.

I just installed mine on 16 bmw M235I xdrive, a lot better boosting at low rpm and my JB+ tuning system will to the rest at high Rpm .

What should I install first ? Intake ? Charge pipe ? Or cat down pipe

you can do the intake first. the charge pipe is a bit of a challenge. the cat down pipe is a bit of work. it will take time to do. there are videos out there that show install. take a look for yourself and if you are confident enough then go for it

This intake instantly set fault code 102001 faulty air mass on my 435 (no check engine light). Caused strange shiftings as well, had to go back to my factory intake. I could see from the logs there is about 4g/s difference of air flow on idle betwen stock and Injen. ”Tuned intake” is a scam. Quality unfortunately is garbage. The heat shield does not even seal against the bonnet and there was a lot of overspray paint inside the pipe which i don’t want in my engine. Only plus is that it make sounds.

interesting issue there. i have heard of people having issues and getting codes. but when i work on them i never have issues. i wish i was able to look at your car to see what can be done. so when you went back to stock it reverse the issue?

Can this fit on the 2011 e90 n55 ?

you just have to see what is availible for that year. if this kit does fit yours .then you shouldnt have any problems installing it.

as long as its n55 engine then it should fit .
