im turning 30 got my first tat 3 months ago my mom told me I thought you were the only son that came out right in the head.. I told her what you mean im the craziest in the head I just dont show it.. now I got 3 tats & 1 one of them is a half sleeve planning to finish sleeving it.. my mom told me it hurts why would you do it I told her it was therapy for me (when I was lil she took me to therapy but I never talked & dude kept telling my mom he making progress keep bringing him) that the pain helped me feel at peace made me feel alive. I just got done w the half yesterday & I already wanna go back. One of my friends told me you having a midlife crisis or what ahaha but honestly I finally feel like the real me.

My worst experience was when I had a friend of mine tattoo the back of my thigh!! It’s a portrait of Storm from X-Men and he insisted we do it in color! It hurt so bad to the point where tears almost came to my eyes but other than that it came out amazing ❤️❤️

Its 100% up to the client to spellcheck a tattoo, not the artist. I work at a tattoo shop and trust me, these are artists, not college graduates lol

My worse experience would be my first tattoo. It was a half sleeve, and the dude that did it was heavy handed as hell. The first hour was fine, the 2 and half afterwards were excruciating. It was like he was trying to carve my arm off with a hot knife. 11 years later I have this blown out dragon on my arm for about $150. Second would be part of my ankle, I felt the vibrations in my skull, and that was only about 3 minutes of lining and shading.

Worst experience for me. I fell asleep while getting tattooed once. I woke up when I heard the tattoo artist,say whoops. I said what did you do?he said I put a burning cross on your arm.sorry about that.yeah that happened. I got it covered up & never went back there again.lesson learned don’t fall asleep during a tattoo.

I have a high pain tolerance.plus I was tired from work.the buzz of the old style machine.put me to sleep.& he just decided to take liberties with the design.changing it to a burning cross.then he realizes what he does & says whoops.no apologies or anything. I didn’t pay that pissed him off .& well I explained the rest.

I got a tattoo on the back of my leg while I was lying down so I couldn’t see him tattooing me, I never researched him or anything just available at the time. I wanted my tattoo to be 3 inches and what I got this huge 6 inch+ tattoo on my leg then he charged me a price far more than he quoted.

Getting my shins tattooed sucked. One is just an American traditional crawling panther. It took about 3 1/2 hours and came out super clean and I love it. The other covers most of my shin and the under part of my knee. That one took about 8 hours (not including breaks) and was probably my most painful tattoo to date. The artist (my main guy I go to for all my fancy work) was super accommodating and tried to make sure I was as comfortable as possible under those circumstances. That said, It's my best looking tattoo and was worth every second of torture.

I am about 60% covered and the pain varies from area to area. I think that it's almost a prerequisite to have a horrible experience as far as pain when getting tattooed. The next two areas next for me is a job stopper on my hand and a torture session on my ribs. 😆 🤣

My worst experience was my third tattoo. My buddy and I wanted to get a bigger piece, and we said it had to be popular style of tattoos from the 90s-2000s. I chose to do a manta ray in a tribal style. The guy who ran the shop I went to said he was the man for the job, and all his work was pretty good, including tribal! Man literally couldn’t draw straight lines. Every time he went for a smoke break, he came back smell so strongly of weed. I don’t have anything against weed, but man, I don’t think I could get tatted again by someone under the influence! The good thing is I went to another guy in town, asked him is he could touch up someone else’s work, and he joked he’d do it for free if he could 😂 the tattoo ended up looking super good after the touch up. Worst of all, my buddy who I got a tattoo with… yeah, he tapped out soon after the needles touched his skin 😂
