Hi Dana The two carts you filled with one fill and one showing refilling you had the orange plug removed, while on the instructions papers that came with the inks this orange plug is removed only at the priming operation. What is the right procedure to follow for filling with or without the orange plug ? Its great in this video you showed the proper way to shake the inks. Is this shaking cart procedure also apply for the OEM carts ? regards

Hi Ralph. It has a blunt plastic tip used for priming.

Does the small syringe have a sharpened metal tip, or a blunt plastic one?

I am using your carts and inks. Is it possible to reset the chip to read full on the 3880 and have the printer report the link level properly as it does on their OEM carts? Or is it only possible to inspect them visually?

There is no chip resetter for the Epson 3800, 3880. These printers do not permit the same chip serial number to be used more than once (unlike many other older Epson printer models). So, the OEM chip is placed under a chip controller. The chip controller needs certain functions that the OEM chip provides, and the chip controller feeds a new serial number to the printer's main board. The cartridge chips automatically reset themselves frequently, so ink levels will always read full or almost full. And therefore you have to visually inspect them. And unfortunately on these models, you can not reset when you want to and there is no relationship between the chip and the actual ink supply (not even with the OEM carts).
