This is OST of the Japanese animation Ghost in the Shell in Russian, English and Latin. Forestella opened the last round of Phantom Singer All Stars like this! I heard from online audience there was a long silence after finishing the song. Forestella selected and contacted the dancer team (Dellomez) to complete their performance. They directed the choreos by exchanging feedbacks with dancer team to express what they intended in it as well. The main theme of this song was asking oneself about "What identifies who I am?".

It was a very philosophical and mysterious sound stage. They always have a strong desire to experiment with music that has never existed in the world. To open new horizons in crossover music, they sometimes make dangerous attempts, but that soon plays a big role in the growth of their music and creates their identity. Thanks for your amazing reaction to Forestella! This performance was for the last competition round of Phantom Singer All Stars. (I'll say PSAS) PSAS could be filmed because serious covid situation made every concert canceled. For that reason they had online audience and a few celeb guests only. All the finalists groups from 3 seasons were invited and each round had a specific themes. Forestella is the 2nd season's winner. Each season has 3 final groups so all the final 9 groups were invited to PSAS. The celebrity guests and online audience voted to someone they liked. There were 7 rounds with different theme. But one theme was solo performance representing the group and one theme was seasons' match. So each group had 5 songs as a whole group. They competed on the themes given and sometimes competed as solo, as member-changed quartet or duet in this show. Forestella sang Time in a bottle - Je suis malade - Shape of you - 달팽이 (Snail, a famous song for Koreans) - Inner Universe. In the solo round Cho MinGyu sang Balada de Trompeta, in the seasons' match Cho MinGyu sang Rosalina in duet with Julian Kim (from Miraclass) , Bae DooHoon and Kang HyungHo sang Love runs out in quartet with Zo HyungGyun (from Edel Reinklang) and Han Tain (from Miraclass), Ko WooRim sang 거짓말 거짓말 거짓말 (Lie lie lie -Korean song) in duet with Lee ChoongJoo (from Edel Reinklang). I really like FORESTELLA's version of this OST. This futuristic instrumental sound in combination with these dissonant harmonies and their incredible voices (they sound so different than usual - but just right) - A first class arrangement - Just mesmerizing!

This song is somewhat difficult for me to understand, but I like it because its mysterious feeling is attractive. The song can be said to show the experimental spirit of how various things Forestella tries to develop their music. I heard it's a philosophical topic about what human beings are.

Sorry for spoiling the story of the Ghost in the Shell, I believe they took the theme from 1995 theater version, (I copied and pasted some explanation from Wikipedia tho) in this post-cyberpunk iteration of a possible future, computer technology has advanced to the point that many members of the public possess cyberbrains, technology that allows them to interface their biological brain with various networks. The level of cyberization varies from simple minimal interfaces to almost complete replacement of the brain with cybernetic parts, in cases of severe trauma. An often-mentioned term is "ghost", referring to the consciousness inhabiting the body (the "shell") But a hacker whom is called Puppet Master controlled people by hacking the cyberbrain(ghost) and hacked people are not aware of wrong memory or being hacked till the hacker control them. The scene before starting the song showed the people living usual life (dancers moving here and there casually) but they all stopped when the Puppet-master (singers) commanded something (started to sing). The protagonist in Ghost in the Shell is a cop chasing the hacker. She came to ask herself "if my memory is incompete and unsafe from hacking, what makes me identify 'myself' then?" This is serious question of self-identification we also could have.

one of the perks of being the winner of the phantom singer shows is a concert tour. however, the end of third season took place during the worst of the covid in korea so a tour wasn't an option. they did a phantom singer all stars tv show instead that had the top 3 teams from all 3 seasons to showcase them using friendly weekly competition. this performance was on that show. do you watch anime? this is from the soundtrack of "ghost in the shell" originally sung by the late russian singer origa. maybe that's why it's familiar?
