Works well for the DIYSelf crowd, but not durable enough for professional use. The soft rubber buttons stop working after 1 year of use. After that it becomes a hit or miss often having to use a small screwdriver just to get a reading on the screen. If they go to some harder material that will help. Otherwise it did help me to diagnose some tough symptoms as a 30 yr pro.

Got the 3100 version but doesent communicate with cryslers powertrain module when connected. Only works manualy, turn the key 3 times procedure.

there's the 3160 comes with abs diagnose cant be upgraded for the obd1 kit, is the abs feature really necessary, is the 3140 the best one right now, it has live data like the 3130, it has the obd1 kit, back-light.

Can this device be updated with newer vehicle manufacturer specific codes? In particular, I am looking to read the transmission temperature in a 2015 Mazda 6 with 6 speed auto.
