Nice video (pun intended)! I remember when this route was operated by Téoz trains, now replaced by TGV. This line is very scenic🚆👍

5:06 TGVs are coastal cruisers because they link Nice/Menton to Lyon/Dijon/Paris/Lille where there's a high speed rails after Marseilles. It takes about the same time to travel between Nice and Marseille with a simple TER.

Exactly; I've done it on TGV and TER corail now in similar times 👌🏻

Hi! I am planning to take this train next month. Is there a way to know if my chosen seat is the one that overlooks the coast and not the inner part of the mainland? I want to enjoy these views while traveling but while selecting my seat it was difficult to understand what direction was the train going to move in and which side would I be sitting on. Also, great video :D

No way to tell which way round the train will be I'm afraid

Yeah it is ! And they are all reused trains from the first generation of TGV. The SNCF has simply dismantle them and rebuilt with some new materials but also using again the previous ones. So those TGV which look new are 30 years old !

@@ezkymos not really !!! 230 series was built between 2001 and 2006. It's the third generation (as reseau tgv "network") after Atlantique TGV ,and PSE TGV....they use GTO VVVF for inverters not thyristors.

@ezkymos4 жыл бұрын
In fact, the SNCF and RENFE have created another brand called RENFE-SNCF to cover this lines between France and Spain. But because the SNCF will lost its exclusivity of managing train trafics and exploitation in December 2020, there'll be new Spanish/Deutch/Italian/French companies to make train travel. It may be messy but it will help to lower prices and get better comfort

Man the TGV Duplex is so Cool! By the way please don't sit in the Class you are not in in Switzerland Trains. Or when you book a ticket and seat please only sit in your seat. SBB CFF FFS Wishes you a plesant journey!

Usually, it is not a problem, as I did it many times between Rennes Paris, Rennes Lille or Rennes Strasbourg, except if ever there are too much peoples in the train. ;)

Hi, is this same as the TGV Duplex or is there any difference? This is the TGV Lyria, right?
@NonstopEurotrip3 жыл бұрын
This is a TGV Duplex and not a Euroduplex, like the Lyria.

6:41 You haven't miss anything exciting... TGV's bar is so expensive, almost twice the price of the real value. Hopefully, reduction cards for travel give you reductions on the bar too (-30% at the best).

You can, if they're not sold out, but they will be much more expensive
