I want a Musicisum-type course for actual mixing and mastering in the studio with Dave as the teacher. That'd be so kickass and helpful. Everything I've done and learned, I've mostly taught myself. I love seeing videos like that.

Being able to hear more from Dave in these last couple of videos has been a true pleasure. Dave is one of the coolest dudes in the game. Extremely smart, kind, and beyond talented in both playing and production aspects. As a player and an audio engineer my self, I'm so glad I can get to hear from Dave in these videos. Cheers, Dave! Pirate tech as fuck!

I hope you guys leave bass really loud on the mix. The more accentuated bass sound on this video when Dave played White Dove made the riff the sickest I've heard it. Also, you have to eventually make a solo Dave track, Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) style. All these videos are getting me excited!

One of the things I love about Dave's playing is that he could easily just show off through out an entire song, but knows to hold back and keep the groove like a bassist should and still can solo when the time arises.

I'm gonna be an echo boy and agree 100% with what Craig said in a previous comment. I don't have a long list of favorite bassists because I honestly don't know much about the world of bass, but Dave is a genuine badass. I first noticed how great he is on the earlier Dorje live stuff. But wait... there's more! He is also a recording wizard and all around sonic master.. and if that's not enough, he works his ass off making sure that everything comes together. His dedication to his roles is obvious. As a result of all those factors, (and it may sound crazy) Dave is up there in the top 5 of my favorite bass players.... not a bad list to be on considering that John Paul Jones is my all time favorite. It would be really cool to hear more from Dave... and if he ever decides to offer a channel of his own, I am an immediate subscriber. Thanks

From an 80s metal head guitarist across the pond in Louisville, Ky. I'm loving Daves tone and technique. If Dorje gets to tour the states, ill be sure to road trip to the nearest show. I really enjoy the music coming from the isle, over here it is becoming stagnant with all this drop tuned and extra strings to just have them and not use them in a musical means! Anyway Great Job Chappers and oh yeah I'm currently saving and thought I had my perfect Monkey Lord model axe picked out but then I saw the ghost fret, so now I'm truly thinking on two Chapman guitars. Thanks again for all your time and effort on your videos and keep on rockin out! BAD ARSE!

Purely on the strength of this clip i'm a big fan. Dave seems a nice bloke, and his bass skills/technical nous are seemingly unquestionable. I've even just nipped off and added their stuff to my Apple Music. Just so glad there was stuff there! What particularly made me go look was when he was tracking 'White Dove'. Fucking great! Proper old skool metal, with a contemporary twist (and even some lovely 'Proggy' elements). I'll be keeping an eye on this lot. Keep up the good work, Guys. The 'power' of KZbin, eh? Nice one... \m/ (:o)

Just a tip is when you record you can record kick in and kick out. Kick in is punchy and kick out is more bassy and if you want to get more low-end wire up a speaker to an XLR cable on the outside as well. You can turn the speaker into a mic and makes it sound more suby and then you blend all three sounds to get the one you want.
