Once, decades ago, a man we didn't know accosted the youngest in our group. I was sitting in the back. Five faces turned to me. I saw, I stood, and I was between the offending man and one of "my kids" in a blink! As one, everyone around them, men and women, took two steps back. Silence fell and one person said, uh oh... I handled the man, verbally. Told him in no uncertain terms that no one touches one of mine and that he wasn't going to move as Security was on the way. (We worked as a team, and as I went into battle mode, another placed the call for military backup.) This man didn't move a muscle. But he did glare at me. I never blinked as I stared him down. As he was escorted out (the police were waiting as he had hit the young woman and charges were filed), someone said, " The Marines have landed." And that's how I got my nickname. ( I had to go into mom mode to help calm down our kid. Poor thing. She was so traumatized. It made me want to hunt the a$$ho1e down. We made sure she got the help she needed though.)

I'm so impressed with the guard dog. As a fellow epileptic AND guard dog - I don't think I could fake a seizure. I have grand mal ones and therefore have literally no idea what they look like, because when they happen, I'm checked tf out. Let alone tackling a MIL to take them down with me. 10/10 friend.

Always a perfect lunchtime snack to watch the drama. I avoid it in my own life and simply enjoy watching it unfold in others ☺️🤭 i wish there was a picture of the dress! Lol Mario should have always had a relationship with his grandkids. I'm happy he chose his children and grandchildren over the spawn of satan in the form of a wife. Lol Also... I ADORE when Charlotte says a good "see you next tuesday. " One of my favourite words. 💙

The Pope might give Mario an annulment for this stunt. 🤔 6. Would LOVE to see this as a SYTTD episode at Kleinfeld’s ❤ 7. So relieved I’m a childless cat lady - weddings bring out so much weirdness. 😂😂😂

All of them are so lucky to have each other and I'm sure they will be laughing at this story for years to come. And props to Mario for finally taking a stand, I hope he finds happiness away from her and with his true family. Thanks for sharing!

It sounds kind of like Victoria has a reverse Oedipus Complex with Mark. Added note: A pinched face is what actress Margaret Hamilton was said to have, especially when, in one of the roles she played, she was annoyed or being spiteful and evil. Someone can also get a pinched face if their face is kind of thin and they suck in some pure, unadulterated lemon juice.

I think it's called Jocasta complex - Jocasta was Oedipus's mother.

I think it's so crazy that this is an actual phenomenon in our modern society of narcissistic devouring mothers who incestuously become emotionally involved with their own children. Nobody wants to talk about it but the fact that we have so many stories like this to share that someone as wonderful as Charlotte can have a whole channel built on this kind of content is literally insane. My own mother groomed me to be her man in every way, I am still in therapy and have gone 17 years No contact with her. I think this problem has grown over many decades in our society because mothers are often placed on a pedestal and seen as blameless. These stories are all in good fun, and we laugh but to those of us who have experienced this, it is really shocking that more people don't realize that there are mothers like this.

Can relate, but on a much less severe scale. I think the covert narcs are the worst. You have no allies because to everyone else, she acts like she sprang straight from an angel's ass. But behind the scenes, look out, here comes the crazy. You try to speak out and find help but they just ask, "Where's your proof? We didn't see anything. She seems so sweet." Infuckingfuriating. You did the right thing, my dude. Accept the life you deserve.

Everyone goes through this. It's completely "normal" just like slavery was back in the day. Difference is now we've studied psychology enough to realize it is very unhealthy and just extreme codependent behavior 🫤 Now we've learned it needs to stop for for future generations 👍
