*Update 2: I revisited Babu's game shop and went deeper into his story and his game collection in his childhood home* kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpTLeIhtoaxpgJo. Drop by and say Namaste to Babu sometime, Google Maps goo.gl/maps/3HdF8F6ogc9yAkCi7. Update 1: How's the Nintendo Switch been? I fell in love again with handheld gaming! I can game anywhere while travelling and catch up on many older games I missed. Then there are the Nintendo exclusives I've finally got to enjoy, like Breath of the Wild and Metroid Prime Remaster. It's been an excellent addition to my Xbox Series X and PS5. I'm looking at the Steam Deck next. 🇮🇳 Delhi video game market tour kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZuvl2ycedN6Zqs 🇵🇰 Lahore video game market tour kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX6lo4aei5J_jas

Babu is where I'd love to see myself in 30-40 years. Still rocking, still loving tinkering and fixing up all types of gaming consoles in his workshop. I love it. What stands out to me the most is his gaming collection. They're clearly worn down but that's because he clearly gets that these gaming consoles were meant to be USED. To be PLAYED with and not just sitting preserved in a shiny clear case. Each one of those gameboys and game and watches has stories behind them and I love that 💖

Let me honest most of the people in India didn't even knew about SNES. If you ask anyone most people say we played Mario contra means they played fake nes consoles and i also played back in 1998 till 2005 and in the name handheld we played brick video game Most Indians didn't knew existance of Gameboy. Yes PlayStation was popular but in shops nobody has Ps1 back then untill PS2 came in 2005 till 2012 in India that's why PlayStation is popular here on the other hand Xbox sales were very bad because there was no repair shops no warrenty. So technically Only Sony Playstation is legitimate available. Nintendo stuff is full of grey market from 90s till now. This video was so cute! I love how passionate that man is about his business, he truly just wanted to share his love with him at the end to give him a discount on the console. What a legend! 🥺🙌🏼

Hi Karl, there are very and I mean very few people like Babu in this world in age, genuine, fun and passionate about video games. Everytime I step into a GameStop or any video games store, the people there makes me sick to my stomach, they're like robot selling you games, nothing more. Almost completely no interactions anymore, just strictly business. Your video rocks Karl, keep it up brother. from Toronto, Canada

Hi Karl. I'm an nz'er too, living in Nepal. When I visited Delhi last I was intrigued by the arcade parlors there. Classic 80s & 90s games still rockin' it in small arcades same like back in the day. Snow Bros seemed to be one of the most popular games, bizarrely.

In France locals shops have been gone from a long time, there are still supermarkets and a few chains but they don't have a soul or passionate owner like Babu ! @@sumanjit100 I'd be surprised if there are any left. They'd have to sell often enough and well enough for the business to stay afloat what with the cost of leasing a store space, the (relative) lack of interest in retro gaming and the convenience of online/digital gaming.

Growing up, gaming was always looked down upon by my parents. A machine whose primary job was to play games (a console) was therefore a taboo in my family. I only got into this hobby when I left home for college. Its good to see this man keep up this collection from the 80s.

Thank you for sharing this person and his life, I never would have known or seen otherwise! I loved seeing his workshop. I must say that’s the most real “untamed” gaming collection I’ve ever seen. I like the sheer size of it all. All of that retro stuff must be very scarce in that part of the world. Very interesting to see how different cultures mix with things.

WoW Amazing video! I grew up in the 80s nes was my first video game system. I remember the small mom and pop video game rental places. Here in Canada they are all gone except for maybe a rare few who have been able to survive. There are some retro gaming sellers popping up in retro toy places but they are a thing of the past. It was so nice to see his place and hear his history. Where ever we grew up in the world we all can relate to Nintendo/ video games. Thanks for this great video

I keep coming back to this video just to watch the parts where he offers to give the Switch as a gift. These things aren't cheap and the fact that he's willing to just give it away to someone he barely knows just because they really enjoy games shows this guy's generosity. Hope that his shop does even better with the publicity from this video.
